Basically a new drill kit, includes 2 3.0li batteries, a centrotec chuck as well as a Jacobs chuck. Does not include the right angle or eccentric chuck. Will include the Systainer and charger. Ryan sent me another 15v battery from LC Tool but I'm keeping that one, the 15v batteries power my 18v tools and don't want to sell a gift! If interested shoot me a pm but be mindful I'll only ship in the USA. Sorry guys up north I've had shipping issues in Canada in the past and don't want to go through that abortion again! Payment is by PayPal friends and family only, I don't want to pay any fees! I'm selling this because I like the T handle drills better. I cannot get used to using my middle finger to feather the trigger. $285 shipped.3 points

Milwaukee sent me these, apparently from a little giveaway i forgot about haha .. I know everyone has their own reservations about these, so all i can do is test and check the results.. . Finally got this after waiting months because of some mess up through Toolbarn, Got this drop head to put a larger knife on to chew through solidified grease in kitchen lines, then i'll weld it onto my existing 25' cable to double the length, not sure, but all i can do it try it! Of course, since i keep my m12 auger in a bucket, it only made sense to the the organizer for rags, heads, gloves, etc .. DeWalt sent me a couple things, can you believe it! haha This tape will be available this July in USA, available May in Canada .. only downside is no numbers on the bottom .. They sent me these as well, pretty excited to try these out, wish i could have had access to them in person when they first came out, but Home Depot skipped town, and Lowes doesnt carry them: ..3 points

Cordless plunge saw will be singlebattery. X2 7 and 9 inch grinders confirmed3 points

why would this need to even be an argument? the only thing I would be concerned with is that if I bought genuine batteries that they are in fact genuine batteries....who cares what others think especially if they are willing to argue over it.....2 points

Much easier than climbing back down the ladder to grab a hammer when you already got the impact in your hand, I mean it's only wood your hammering in place lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I do not the space to dedicate to a full time miter station. I also do not have enough patience to set one up every time I need to use it. So this is my compromise setup. My miter saw (and sander for that matter) is on a slide. So I pull the saw out until it hits stops and I have two threaded knobs that lock the slide in place. In this picture the saw is pulled about 2/3 of the way out. I have Fast Cap Best Fence rails for it. You can see them stored under my clamps. The Best Fence rails clip to the saw and adjustable rail mounts on the ends. You can see the left one but the right one cant be seen. The saw surface planes with the work bench top so if I need to cut something short or to the left I can do so without installing the rails.2 points

Picked up this little addition to my collection this week to make a job easier. It didn't work quite like I hoped it would but I'm sure it'll come in handy other places. I really needed a second right angle impact wrench but I bought this for half the price and to have a different tool with a little different capabilities it was worth it.2 points

I got the Dewalt 20v brushless blower kit this morning at HD The kit came with another 5.0 battery so bam! Also, yes...my Flexvolt batteries fit in there just fine so I've got enough juice to run all day long with two 60v batteries and now four 5.0s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

For the man hours you've spent taking care of your tools in what I would consider to be an unhealthy level, you probably could have bought all new ones already a few times over. Just saying...my time is valuable, not sure about yours. 3 hours of labor is all it would take for me to replace my impact, for instance. Other than levels, I do try to keep my levels nice. I cringe every time I drop or knock one over. I'll snap a picture of my tool trailer soon and post it once I reorganize again. I tend to get sloppy from week to week about keeping my floor clear of supplies/buckets/etc.1 point

Guys what's with the size and weight? This is a laser, you don't stand around holding it. You set it on the floor or on a tripod. It's not like it's a 2 hand tool here that has to fit into tight places. It could be 3 times as heavy and twice as big and I'd still be around 0 fucks given for something like this. As for the AA comments, I could buy 150 AA's (non rechargable) for the cost of one 12v. Add a backup battery and a charger...something like 600 AA's. Not the most practical if you're running 10hrs a day every day as said but for the guy using it a few hours a day at the most like I do, it's a no brainer. No charging, years and years of supply from a battery platform that will probably take 50 years to go away. My rinky dink 10yr old cross beam laser runs on AA's and I've changed them three times in that amount of time. Of course it's red and green is higher energy but even if it took 8 AA's to get it going I could still change them 75 times before I'd break even. I see no appeal at all for 12v here, unless it's called Milwaukee.1 point

Video is based on a Milwaukee Battery but if it's a knock off we're talking about it doesn't really matter what brand they've knocked off. I've spoken to you in other threads before now I know in regard to real v knock off batteries. I've heard all the arguments for, all against, I use all legitimate batteries, I know people who use all knock off batteries. In reality? Pointless argument. If it works for you and you're saying money, go for it. If you're rather pay more and feel you're getting something more justifiable, go for it.1 point

This weekend it was warm enough to apply a finish to the chair set. I used Sikkens Cetol 1 Cedar for the finish. What I've been reading is this stuff is great. At $76/gallon, I sure hope it is. I put two coats on and still have a half of a gallon left. So, I should be good for a bunch of years. Oh by the way, I stuck the rags I used to wipe off the excess finish from the chairs into the outside garbage can. A few hours later, I got a call from my neighbor telling me that my garbage can was on fire. Sure enough, the cotton from the rags must have had an exothermic reaction with the finish. The strong breeze we had yesterday, must have added just enough oxygen to the situation to cause it to self combust. It was a mess.1 point

Retired now (more or less), but when I was using tools on the job, i had to buy my own. Being a tightwad, I was very particular to take very good care of them. Had all types from standard hand tools to very specialized tools. Only bought the best I could find and was always glad I did. I admit I don't always buy the absolute best available now that I am retired, but I won't buy crap either. Still take care with them though. I used to cringe watching people use tools for a purpose they were never intended for. Almost always ended in personal injury/ tool damage/messed up parts.1 point

I'm not as crafty as you guys, I don't have a really cool home-built stand. I just use the one that's made for the saw. My stand idea is to fold up my stand and hang it on the wall, out of the way. I could build a miter station but only if I wanted to never park in the garage. I tried to kick my wife's car out of the garage but that idea didn't fly as far as I had hoped. No space for anything that won't hang on the wall or store over the bench. Actually works out pretty good with the saw and stand hanging on the wall...saves space and keeps them easy to get at. Otherwise I'm sure they'd be buried behind a workbench or hidden in a closet somewhere...1 point

I am super anal retentive, I wipe down my tools after I use them. I blow them out too. My Rotary Hammers look like new. I can never understand how some guys let their tools get so full of crud. (And wonder why they don't last). I buy grease and regularly maintain my stuff. I have personally made exactly 2 warranty claims in 10 years, both were battery related. I wished they introduced the X2 brushless chainsaw when I bought my brushes version but I have to admit, I won't buy another cordless chainsaw anytime soon. My Makita was getting some heavy use yesterday and I felled maybe 12-15 saplings to small trees yesterday with NOOOOO problems. I live that chainsaw and taking it into the woods on the back of my ATV is a piece of cake. No fuel, no noise and plenty of power for the smaller trees. I specifically remember posting a video a few years ago taking down a burning bush that was about 9" in diameter of super wet, super dense, fibrous wood with no issues. I might consider getting a gas powered one next, I have about an acre of dense hardwoods that I have to partially clear starting the summer. Can't wait to see what they release next!1 point

No idea man my Makita rep let me take a peak in their email which contains the new tools for the next year. Really had to try and memorize all I saw.1 point

X2 cordless 10 inch mitre saw confirmed. And I believe it works like the kapex. The bars stay still and the head moves over the bar. So it won't stick out in the back Corded 10 and 12 inch versions of these mitre saws also coming btw1 point

Lots of people say that, and perhaps that's because they're both Japanese. Perhaps they same the same about Milwaukee and Dewalt. In any case, I do NOT think for a second that the Hitachi is copying the Makita. Hitachi make the best impact drivers IMHO.1 point
