  1. 2. Made this knife out of an old saw blade and some flat stock and copper pieces. Cool history about those flat bar and thick copper the bar is for a power pole and the pole has since rotted away and also the copper is the grounding wire on power poles. I wanted to kind of base it off of Rambo knife and I am pretty happy with it. I sharpied the shape on the saw blade and cut it out with my cordless makita grinder and used a flap wheel to get it so shinny it probably took 3-4 hours and I sprayed a clear coat on it . I kept trying to decide on handles and tryed this one and love it . also left a tooth on the back as a window breaker.

  5. While it's certainly not the most exciting purchase, I picked up a pair of new Proto chrome sockets in 1-15/16" and 2" in 3/4" drive for about $35. I've always planned on filling my 3/4" set out to 2" without skips, just waited for the right deal. As of now, 1-7/8" is the biggest socket I've ever needed at home, but it's nice to be prepared.

  9. Some of you already have done this and you have no idea how grateful I am to you, if you have bought or even dealt with us on a professional level would you mind leaving us a Google Review. I can't promise you anything in return, due to Google's terms of conduct, other than the damned finest hand tool shopping experience this side of Wuppertal. Thanks again to all who have already contributed and thanks to those will. Love you guys! #TIACREW

  10. Most living in Nebraska probably know what Grand Island is but outside Nebraska it's probably not a city they know of. To me its big but thats coming from a town of 3000 people.

  11. Few pictures have floated around, this one is from a ways back on Kiefer @toolaholic Instagram page. There's a clip of it in action out there I've seen but I'd have to do some digging.

  12. Scored a few brownie points, my brother and I picked up the Kobalt table saw for our dad yesterday, not the best saw in the world but far, far from the worst. Should be almost the perfect one for him, very manageable weight, good capacity, easy to setup. Our dad is 66 with almost double the miles most folks his age so ease of use was a major factor. Apon giving it to him he said " You guys are fucking idiots" Which is his way of saying thank you to us. Not gonna lie, probably the warmest feeling I've had giving a gift.

  13. First is dust collection on router table. Then the router bit storage on it.. The next picture is my planer/ jointer cabinet going to have wheels that allow me to park it in one place then easily move it around to run boards through them..

  14. Well got more flexvolt, it might be a dud but still should do the job for the right price and a free battery to boot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Got refinished the handles for the wards master plane. Turned out really nice being able to see the grain. Before they were solid black. The wards master and Stanley were gifted to my father in law this week. He really liked them. Working on a Sargent low angle block plane now. Should be finished today. 17. Thanks! The saw has been really great so far. Adding the extra storage and router table were simple projects but were excellent additions to the saw/shop. If you have the room I suggest the bigger saw. It is more stable and I believe has more capacity. It really doesn't take up any more space than the job site saws. Check for Lowe's to do 11% rebate weeks. At least it will save you a little bit of money. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

  19. I think that in my case, the seal was just too small. Once it was in the channel, it wasn't protruding out far enough to seal. Like the foam bead was slightly too small. It was probably just a bad design or wrongly sized gasket. I have the same issue with my Milwaukee box. The seal isn't tight all the way around the box. The Milwaukee box flexes so easily that even if you do have a continuous seal, if the bottom is uneven, you get gaps. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  20. Great job on everything. Not all of us can afford big yellow and red, but we manage anyway!

  21. Seriously - I was really hoping for an updated jigsaw - perhaps something like the European barrel grip HD18JSB.

  22. I had not heard that about the miter saw, interesting. Speaking of jigsaw, it surprises me that they have not made a brushless version yet.

  24. For the record, as much as I enjoy my plethora of Milwaukee tools, that just means I'm that much more in tune with what I dislike about them. Mostly I feel they are a marketing company making tools vs being a tool company first and then marketing their products. It's not a cult following, guys, I assure you that...

  26. The 693 metal connector nailer has been out for somewhere in the vicinity of a year, no? The 692 framer, 660 16 gauge are pictured, as well as the 680 18 gauge, the 681 stapler, 682 flooring stapler, and 650 15 gauge. The last 4 are due out soon, September in Canada. Not pictured are the concrete nailer and the 16 straight, maybe we will see them again in August?

  27. You don't have to break out the back handle. Milwaukee will send you the part to swap out to fit the 9.0 if you ask nicely (at least they did for me when the 9.0s first came out).

  28. I got rid of my tough boxes after driving a hundred miles down a gravel road with my tool boxes in the bed. When I opened the large tool box it was completely full of dust. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  29. So, I shipped it in early May and just received the replacement last week. DeWalt actually shipped the new one within days of the broken box arriving there, but I never received notice, so it sat in my rental office for almost a month. All interactions with DeWalt were great, though, and they honored the warranty without any questions. Now I just need to load this box up with tools.

  38. Amazon reviews are full of morons. "5 stars, fast shipping!" which tells you they liked the service but nothing about the tool.

  39. This tag is hanging off one on my new boxes. I would not be happy with paying $8 to replace a plastic tab that can't hold up to daily use.
