Did some work today. Got the walnut restacked with 3/4" stickers. My son Owen was all about helping me put the stickers on. He was a big help and let me know ow it too. This walnut has some awesome color and I cannot wait to use it. Also made some progress on the table saw sled. I had to stop. My cutters were not liking having to cut the screws and my Dremel was already broke. Will need to figure out another way to cut the screws for the t track. Give the breakaway blades a go. Took advantage of the 15% off 4 items plus free battery deals with the hole hawg and mid torque impact wrench. Plus the bag came with the hole hawg. .. Replacement bits for my bit case since i don't need a third case floating around3 points

Pretty much the only time bringing home a pair of strippers won't lead to losing half your stuff.2 points

I ran across one of these for sale on CL. It looks pretty good if you cut a lot of cement board.2 points

You're welcome Joe! The corded barrel grip jig saw has been around a while, at least here in EU. I'm also excited about the cordless one [emoji1] The 576 is the same as the 575 but another base with rail capability. Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk2 points

Received notice that the $26 (lol) sk hammer set that was ordered back in January has shipped and will be here tomorrow... Was reviewing my past orders yesterday and clicked on track package three or more times. Not sure if that triggered something in their system, but I am really surprised that they honored that order.2 points

@Race2win01 I think you will be okay, it doesn't seem like the legs are too long.1 point

@Big Adam That small sander is almost identical in design to one that was produced by Black & Decker back in the late seventies and early eighties. It was an excellent small unit with great balance. I always wondered why they discontinued the design. Now if they would just turn it into a cordless unit...1 point

My Tough System DS Carrier arrived yesterday. FedEx didn't drop it off at the rental office like normal, but fortunately it was outside my apartment when I got home. Nothing like having a big box that has DeWalt stickers on it and a description of the contents left unsecured! It's a good thing no one has smart phones that are capable of searching for the worth of the package left outside for over seven hours... I'll post some pictures whenever I have time, but the carrier is a beast! Knowing it was arriving yesterday, I picked up a DS400 XL box on Sunday, and was tempted to grab a DS150 (I have 3 or 4 DS130s). My experience with my first DS450 wheeled box was less than stellar, and the new one DeWalt sent under warranty hasn't been put through its paces yet, but the DS400 seems to be more stoutly built, and the carrier relatively indestructible as a means of transporting the system. Next up is one more large Ridgid box. That will complete two Ridgid modular box systems to supplement two complete DeWalt Tough Systems, with a few boxes of each brand left for miscellany. Now I just need to find time to actually use this stuff.1 point

I guess the Chicago Electric and Drillmaster brands are pretty much tainted for life? Its crazy though someone posted an old HF ad where they sold real name brand tools before it became all private label made in China stuff1 point

@Framer joe I'm guessing the 576 is the 575 flex circ saw but with track compatible base instead of standard base.1 point

Man I love this deal. Usually 19 a piece I still have I both of mine from when I got them last Christmas. Both still work great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

The Fuel guns use a sealed nitrogen canister, to the best of my knowledge. Not a replaceable gas canister like Paslode, maybe thats where the confusion is coming from, but they sure as hell aren't flywheel tech like Dewalt's.1 point

I've been all about the m12 tools for the past 4 years, the compact batteries are what I liked the most. They allow you fit in tight spaces. Recently picked up the surge with the "compact" m18 batteries and it is my go to impact, but the only complaint is the how large the m18 batteries are. I'd love an m12 verision. But I think we need someone to make an actual compact battery for the m18 line. Something like the Makita 12v battery. It would save almost an inch which would be very helpful. I know using longer bits help, but I think shorter is always better.1 point

I ended up selling my Kapex for the FlexVolt. The FlexVolt is surprisingly maneuverabile and the power in a cordless form factor is crazy. Do miss the dust collection efficiency of the Kapex but no regrets.1 point

My use for a miter will be to just set it up in a shop and probably never move it, so the weight of the Bosch won't be a problem, so that's probably the way I'd go. Barring a lottery win, then I'll become a bigger Festool snob than ChrisK. LOL1 point

As a happy owner of the FlexVolt 12 I think the new Makita pair is looking like they could be the best 10" ever made and likely most versatile saws on the market. The capacity, extraction, tolerances and weight seem like the perfect mix.1 point
