  1. It wobbles when I drive a fastener. I'll try to get footage of that. Thanks for the replies.
  2. Just how much wobble is normal on a ridgid impact driver? I have the gen5x brushless and just recently took it out of the box. Here's some footage. Bit is around 2.5 in. 3. Just to add to the record here, took 10 business days for my kit to be approved that I submitted on the 10th of July.
  4. So Home Depot sent me a garage door opener with the rest of my order. Which is weird because I need one but did not order it. Interestingly, FTC says its legal to keep. Feel bad though. If I do return it, how?
  5. Ended up getting the 3 piece brushless kit with circular saw, prior to seeing this deal. Really wanted the impact driver and circular saw. Was really hard choosing between that and the 5 piece brushed that comes with the reciprocating saw. I'll hunt around for a used table saw...
  6. Brushless Drill kit for 99 bucks. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-Kit-R86116SB/206349862 Compact table saw for199 bucks http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-Kit-R86116SB/206349862
  7. Ok, thanks for the advice. I guess if it turns out bad, I'll use it as a work bench or something and just buy a table lol.
  8. Because of the wood choice? Sanding the crap out of it not good enough?
  9. Was looking to build something simple like this: http://www.lowes.com/creative-ideas/kitchen-and-dining/diy-dining-set/project
  10. I see so many diy guides for dining tables that don't require those 2 things. Is it because they are for "farm house" type tables that are ok with some "roughness"?
  11. Appreciate the response. So don't try at all without a jointer and a planer? Is the concern that it will not be flat/level enough?
  12. Getting a 7 1/4 circular soon to try and build some furniture. I guess my first question is what wood I should use for a dining table? I realize that hardwoods are probably best for that but then again this is my first go, so should I go with something cheap like pine to learn first? If I do try to use something like oak or mahogany what blade should I use to cut it? I also realize I should probably use a table saw for that but I do not have access to one.
  13. Bought the brushless set at full price :\ Needed the tools somewhat urgently. Can't wait to slice up some wood with the saw. Thank you everybody for the information and opinions provided.
  14. I can only guess that they do these deals based on supply and they do spend more money on advertising on the Ryobi brand.
