  1. I noticed my local lowes and home depot have removed all 12 volt tools and accessories from the shelves. I called Dewalt today and they confirmed the 12v cordless tools are being discontinued. They do not plan on producing a new/replacement line of 12 volt tools. They won't even support existing users with batteries in the future like they still do with the 18v ni-cad tools. I guess I'll be shopping for some red 12 volt tools real soon.
  2. What do you all recommend as "must have" Bosch 12v Max tools? I have much of DeWalt's 20v Max line, some high demand M18 Fuel tools, a few Ridgid 18v offerings that aren't yet offered by DeWalt or Milwaukee, and some older tools, but I want to supplement the 18v class tools with 12v offerings. As of now, I'm fairly certain that an impact driver will be added. My Porter Cable 12v Max drill and driver combo are outstanding, so I expect that their Bosch counterparts will prove even more useful. A compact reciprocating saw may prove useful, but is the Bosch much better than the DeWalt 12v? What are your recommendations? I am an avid DIY'er who does everything from vehicle repairs, to remodeling/home repair, to electrical and small wood projects. While my current job precludes me taking on many projects now, I expect that next year will see these tool purchases paying off.
  3. Just wanted to get some opinions on which way to go between the 12v brushless Fuel impact/hammer drill combo kit by Milwaukee and Makita's 18v brushless sub-compact drill/impact combo. Milwaukee has a sale at my Home Depot where the 12v Fuel is $169, while Makita's sub-compact kit comes with a free third battery for $229. I already have Milwaukee's surge/hammer drill 18v combo and a Fuel circ. saw, as well as Hitachi's Triple Hammer, so I'm not looking to expand much (if at all) in either the Milwaukee 12v or the Makita 18v (knock on wood). They both feel great ergonomically, and appear to have similar specs. I know Milwaukee's 12v Fuel has been out for 3-4 years, but they told me they don't have any plans to come out with newer versions of their Fuel fasteners. Both of these deals are limited time, so I'd greatly appreciate honest opinions. Thank you!
  4. Just saw this at the Home Depot in philly. Nice little 12v Makita kit for only $79.00.

  6. So I'm currently on the Dewalt 20v max line and felt like filling in some tools that I did not want from the Dewalt 20v line and here is why: Fuel circular saw; I wanted a compact saw for smaller cuts and waiting for Dewalt to release a bigger blade size brushless saw for heavier jobs. The m12 will do for the time being until then Fuel rotary hammer drill; I don't drill often in concrete and when I do it's usually smaller holes so the M12 felt perfect for that. If I find myself in need for a bigger one I will get another Dewalt 20v max Fuel 1/2" impact wrench; I simply could not leave that poor guy alone in the store so I let it along for the ride.

  9. The latest most advanced power drill in the world today for the most advanced workshops. A powerful, lightweight, professional power tool that changes the rules of power tools for ever. For the last 24 years I've been inventing and creating power tools that have sold over 41 million units in over 45 countries and under brand names such as Craftsman, Ryobi, Ridgid, Mastercraft, Macallister, i-drill, 909, GMC and many more. A couple of years ago I set out to build something I've wanted to build for the last 20 years. A power tool that operates intuitively by TOUCH. Why TOUCH you may ask, products that operate intuitively feel right, they generate confidence, something you should always have when using a power tool. I wanted it to be a tool that’s powerful, lightweight, credible and a must have for your workshop. My design direction was how a drill should operate and feel on the outside, not the way the components fitted on the inside. I need your help to achieve the goal of raising funds to assist in making the launch of this product a giant success. Please visit us here at: TOUCH CONTROLLED 12v CORDLESS DRILL DRIVER
