Cordless brands have had ups and downs over the years, with some such as Flex being new to the US market while others like Porter Cable seem to be on life support. What is your favorite brand right now?

What is the best tool platform. Debatable but manufactures have there strengths and unfortunatlly have there weaknesses I perfer Makita, Dewalt etc what do you perfer and what are your opinions.

Hi everyone, I have a new Advancedgrind cordless angle grinder which uses an angle grinder clamping nut to secure discs. When I stop the grinder the disc and clamping nut fly off! This is rather disconcerting to say the least. I have carefully followed the instructions in the manual and have so far only tried it with a flap disc. I have contacted Bosch, but no response yet. I can only think that the angle grinder locking nut is faulty - is this likely to be the problem? Has anyone else had the same issue? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Bosch PBD 40 Bench Drill Unboxing and setup video This is only a green tool, any news on a blue version?

Just acquired a Bosch Conbi set, but are having trouble finding much info about it. Everything I do find is in German. Need setup instructions and what was in the original kit. It seems to be the kit released in the 70's. Cream coloured attachments and a blue drill.

What do you all recommend as "must have" Bosch 12v Max tools? I have much of DeWalt's 20v Max line, some high demand M18 Fuel tools, a few Ridgid 18v offerings that aren't yet offered by DeWalt or Milwaukee, and some older tools, but I want to supplement the 18v class tools with 12v offerings. As of now, I'm fairly certain that an impact driver will be added. My Porter Cable 12v Max drill and driver combo are outstanding, so I expect that their Bosch counterparts will prove even more useful. A compact reciprocating saw may prove useful, but is the Bosch much better than the DeWalt 12v? What are your recommendations? I am an avid DIY'er who does everything from vehicle repairs, to remodeling/home repair, to electrical and small wood projects. While my current job precludes me taking on many projects now, I expect that next year will see these tool purchases paying off.

I want to purchase a rotary hammer and after some research I decided on the Bosch RH328VC The only problem is that it only support 120V power input and I need 220V power input. What's the equivalent European model? After some searching the GBH 3-28 DFR seems like the closest match but I am not sure. Any ideas? BTW, opinions about my selected models are also welcome Thanks.

Hi guys, I can't decide what to get... at first I was set on getting the 10 inch Milwaukee fuel imported( I'm in Europe, Ireland) As I firmly believe that cordless is the way to go. But have since started to change my mind based on 2 reasons 1. Dust collection is a huge factor for me as my current older DeWalt saws dust collection is shite! Therefore I'll be plugging the extractor in anyways. 2. I have no other m18 tools and I'm just not sure how accurate/stay accurate the saw will be when compared to the two I mention below. I'm a cabinet maker by trade so it's for clean accurate work is mostly what this saw will see. The capacity is for when cutting cornice/moulding or with the max width that I can cut an 18mm gable at. The two other options are the 120 Kapex or the 12 inch Bosch axial glide saw. Without any stand, this is approx what each would cost me. Kapex- 940 euro Bosch- 780 euro Milwaukee- 1100 euro APPROX import charges n shipping are a big factor Bosch Pros. Once set up should stay accurate with minimal flexing due to its design. Largest capacity Great for against a wall/someone's hallway Cheapest option Cons. Heavy/bulky for carrying around The potential for blade wobble since its 12inch(has anyone noticed this????) Kapex Pros. Presume its the best dust collection Easy mitre/bevel adjustments Lighter easier carry around Cons. Not as much cut capacity. Expensive for what it is I think? Milwaukee Pros Cordless-huge advantage at times but not sure how much I'll benefit from it. Light easy transport Compact Cons Price Hassel of importing Accuracy? Anyone have experience with these ones? I bought a kit of them a few days back, thinking they were the "normal" Bosch HSS Bi-Metal Progressor holesaws. For some reason the kit with all the same sizes of these was a lot cheaper than one with the normal arbor. It was on sale though. The blades seem to be the same as the normal ones, just with the added quick change adapter, wich is really nice, no need to have multiple arbors when putting up drywall and making holes for light switches, wall sockets, plumbing etc. Just as fast to change the size of the holesaw as it is to change the bit on my impact driver. So far im really liking these, though my experience is kinda limited at this point.

I've not seen a compiled list of warranties, and how to go about filing a claim, but may have missed out on something. However, I also want the experience of others, on their brand and what is included for warranty claims. Also, I think it would be great if there could be warranty information and personal experience on ANY tools that required warranty claims, cordless, corded, air, hand tools, anything goes here would be great! You can take the tool to your place of purchase if you trust them to actually take care of you, such as a supply house that you have done business with before, which is how our company does it. The way I go about making a claim for myself is going on their website and filling out the information in their "eservice" page. it's pretty straighforward, if the tool is within the warranty period. They pay for shipping both ways! Just print out the Fedex label but you have to get it to a FedEx drop off box or store. They don't care if you have a receipt, just the serial number. Still, you should keep the receipt, have the serial number written down somewhere (or go to there website and enter in your tool inventory). If you have proof that the tool is within 5 years of purchase because the receipt shows, make sure to include that in your information. This is the information I received when I started a support ticket for one of my hybrid lights: Bosch: 3 year "Protection Plan" 2 year batteries. So what are your thoughts on a portable table saw for a woodworker? I know a lot of people who are stuck for space like me or are on a tight budget do it but what I don't know is exactly what kind of accuracy they receive. I do expect a lot from my tools, for example, I expect this to give me good reliable accurate repeatable cuts with a very accurate/solid fence that once set up correctly it will stay there! The first thing I will be doing is putting a new high-quality blade in it just to make that clear! As for the mitre slots as long as they are parallel to each other and I can adjust the table so they will run parallel with the blade I'm happy. I know better than to expect the mitre gauge to be useful for anything more that a paper weight. I will be making many jigs and probably buy a quality aftermarket mitre gauge. And also a flat table as without that I am completely wasting my time! I Have narrowed it down to two saws. But do point out any other saw thats along these lines that may be worth taking a look at. When looking at the at the couple poor reviews(only 2% give a one-star rating for the DeWalt saw) for either of these saws they are often due to things like previously mentioned... accuracy of fence, the flatness of table, mitre slots are not parallel. And even how much side to side play is there on the Bosch sliding table? It makes me wonder are they unlucky or is it that most people wouldn't check or even notice these things as they do not work / expect the accuracy that I and they select few do? I would greatly appreciate hearing what ye have to say mo matter what it is. I don't believe I am the only one in this boat! Thanks, Jack.

I am currently only able to export videos with a total time span of up to 10 mins, anything more than 10 mins i am not able to export. I was wondering if there is any other ways to export videos longer than the default 10 mins?

Hi Guys I have a Older Bosch Grinder That I Was In The process of putting back together .As I was I was Spinned the bearing and it fell apart. I need Your guys help to know what should i do . i have alright talked to bosch about it and they dont carry the part and i have tryed to take off the middle of the bearing as u can see in the picture it is infront of the fan and i am not able to take it off and have tryed some to put the bearing balls and outer bearing housing back on but can never get all of the balls back in. i was wondering if there is a way that i can shove all the bearings back in at once .

Does anyone know if Bosch plans on making a "battery actuated" cordless framing nailer. I know they have a cordless brad nailer, but does anyone know if a framing nailer is in the works? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to buy an angle grinder and would like to know what people think of my below options. If you have other suggestions, I'm all ears I won't be a heavy user, but I do want to get a decent grinder that'll last me a while and won't need much maintenance.
