Yea a lot of times when you see a new ridgid tool you get a stripped down ryobi version, they did the same with the sanders last year but I'd shell out a little more cash for the orange option

And then we'll all shell out just a bit more for the red version!

Just got my hands on it and it seems very nice.  Haven't used it much.  Just ran it through some pine.  Pretty impressed for a $70 tool.

How's the vibration? That's why I noticed about ryobi tools there is little to no dampening with them

It seemed fine, but again I just ran it quick just to try it.  It's pretty cold outside so I was a wimp and didn't want to stand out there.  Friday should be warm in the 30's, so i will give it a try with some oak and other wood.

You think dude? -12 this morning wtf ha ha

"This palm router has micro-adjustment for precise depth control and cuts over 600 linear ft. per charge"

that is quite a bold statement......that is like trimming 25 sheets of 4'x8' plywood on a charge?....wow

Yea how big and awkward of a battery? Imagine a 9.0 on a router?

well that is the thing, if the batteries are getting bigger better faster.....to big and it will defeat the purpose....

Seems legit.

Here's a video from Australia.

This is the older model. The 2016 version is based on the ridgid model, but is brushed instead of brushless. I've been looking for one locally but non of the home depots near me have them in stock.
