CATERPILLAR
Made this knife out of an old saw blade and some flat stock and copper pieces. Cool history about those flat bar and thick copper the bar is for a power pole and the pole has since rotted away and also the copper is the grounding wire on power poles. I wanted to kind of base it off of Rambo knife and I am pretty happy with it. I sharpied the shape on the saw blade and cut it out with my cordless makita grinder and used a flap wheel to get it so shinny it probably took 3-4 hours and I sprayed a clear coat on it . I kept trying to decide on handles and tryed this one and love it . also left a tooth on the back as a window breaker.

Jronman
I can't remember if Rambo ever threw his knife at anybody. I remember he had a bow with explosive arrows.

Hugh Jass
That's really neat Trevor! Never would have thought about making a knife from a saw blade...did you laminate layers together for thickness?

Hugh Jass
I'm surprised the blade is rigid enough at single thickness. Must be one hell of a saw blade to be thick enough to keep it from being too flexible.
