Well It's official bought a Chevy Volt with some of my scholarship money, I'm also almost done with my bachelors can't wait for that to be over... anyways I'm excited bought it for 9,000 cash hoping that charging it isn't going to kill me, it parks nicely next to my 2007 ford 6.0 powerstroke diesel.

Stan, my brother in Florida bought a used one. He loves it. Said it takes about 3-1/2 to fully charge it but running without gas for a while is pretty sweet, especially when he averages well over 30 when running just gas.

Yeah, It does take about 3 and a half hours to gully charge you got 250 miles on a full charge it's pretty cool for only 9,000 bucks has 32,000 miles on it and is very clean and neat

The only problem is i don't know how to fix electric cars if it brakes more of a diesel /gas kind of guy.

Fan of Mopar slant sixes. Those suckers ran forever, as did Torque Flight 727 automatics.Doubt they got the mileage of your Volt though. Hope it lasts for you. Good luck in your pursuit of a bachelors.

You mean the galleonage?? Ha ha about 6 gallons to the mile eh? Lol

Actually, I got around 22 mpg with my 1978 Plymouth Volare Premier station wagon. (Slant Six 225 2 barrel) Not too bad considering it weighed 3500+ pounds. My first car was a 1965 Plymouth Sport Satellite that started out with a 2 barrel 318 V8, then a 383 V8, and finally with a 440 V8 4 barrel. (Yeah, I go back a ways) Also had a 1972 Vega that I put cast iron cylinders in and a 1984 Ford Escort GT. Representative Pictures attached.

Hey that's cool, what a boat! Lol

Best I've ever got was 55mpg '98 diesel Jetta with a taller 5ah gear I swapped in place of the factory. Then I sold that gear to a gas Jetta owner and just broke even haha

.

The volt is powered only by the electric motor, and charged by the gas motor if it needs charged going down the road.
