Dan110
Hi, New here. My makita xph07z fall from 1.5m only. Straight on the battery. Battery is broken but works on other tools. But, the drill is died. I checked the switch and seems ok. The red battery indicator light is working. The drill not turn on. I'm trying to upload the movie. There is anything to do? Thanks, dan. kornomaniac
Unlucky fall sometimes you can get lucky and drop em 10 times off a roof. Other time u get 1 unlucky hit and something's broke :/
stductwork
If it's lighting up and making an attempt to run then I'd check the drive train. Make sure any barings in the housing haven't dislodges which might hinder the rotation of the armature or rotor. Make sure the stator is correctly seated. Remove the gearing after the motor and try and run it. If it runs then the issue is in the gear train.

Dan110
I tried to get out the engine and it won't start, even not trying to. To the garbage?
kornomaniac
Can't you send it to Makita to have it repaired ?
Bremon
A quote on repair would be my bare minimum next step before the trash.
kornomaniac
And if there isn't any clear fall damage ( like broken housing ) try for warranty ? Don't know where you live but in most countries u have a 3 year warranty if you registered.
