Man, tough crowd. I thought some of you guys would get a kick out of seeing an impact working in super slow-mo!

Makita seems to put out the best impact drivers regarding size and power. That old brushed Milwaukee looks huge!!

I'm looking at picking up an 18v impact driver. Looking at this Makita or an M18 Surge. Im dubious whether (for my limited uses) the Green one is worth the extra dinero over the Red one...

It is a sweet tool, though...

I have/had both.
I am currently using the DTD154 and it is awesome. I had the Gen 2 M18 Fuel and it's alright if you never use anything else. I found it heavy, clunky, poorly balanced and loud. Very whiney too.

The Makita is so much smoother, feels great in the hand isn't nearly as loud. The balance is awesome. I really enjoy using it.

If acoustics are important, oil impulse is tough to beat. Makita or Milwaukee.
If you want amazing torque in a super compact design, you won't be disappointed with the Teal.

That was pretty cool, always wondered what was going on inside of impacts. Taken a few regular drills apart for shits and giggles, the planetary system in Dewalt's hammer drills is more complicated than a modern automatic car transmission.  Never seen so many little gears before.

You could try looking at the oil impulse Makita. Not sure how it compares to the Milwaukee.
