  1. It looks great, but I wonder how loud it is, I'm worried that the sheetrockers won't be able to hear it.
  2. I have the 2420 hacksaw and only used it maybe a dozen times, I tried to remove the blade today and it's stuck good, I even put blade in a vice and gave the saw some tugging. Anyone else had this problem?
  3. I picked up a new 2603 M-18 Fuel Milwaukee Drill/ Driver a few weeks ago and really have not had a chance to use it--until this morning, I used it to elongate a couple of 5/8" holes in a 1/2" steel plate while mounting my new 5th wheel hitch. Holy Moly that thing is a torquey drill, it is a good thing they supply it with a auxiliary handle to hang onto. I only had to elongate the hole about a 1/16" but there is no stopping the drill. I made short work of fixing those holes, but I'm glad for the extra handle.
  4. It's supposed to be another 80 degree day here in Arizona, my cordless tools all working fine.
  5. Milwaukee is probably trying to thin out their supply of 5.0 batteries, they will be coming out with the 6.0 soon, to keep up with their competition.
  6. My girlfriend got me the Milwaukee 6 1/2" fuel circular saw, M18 LED Lantern/Flood Light, and two of the M18 5.0 batteries. I think that the 7 1/4" saw might have been better, but since I am left handed the 6 1/2" saw does fit me better. You gotta love a girl that thinks RED though. BTW she is a red head.
  7. You're right about that comp, I just read the info flyer about the fastback III that will be coming out soon.
  8. I don't think the Milwaukee 0880-20 is supposed to replace a corded, full sized, shop vac, but for the smaller jobs it will work out great. One thing I did buy this unit for though is for when I go gold prospecting and will be vacuumong out the cracks in bedrock, this small lightweight vacuum should work just dandy and I expect to vacuum out a goodly amount of gold. And yes DR99, I would excepect a new, updated version out in a couple of months.
  9. I just received the M18 2880-20 Vacuum yesterday and wanted to report my first thoughts about it. I installed the M18 XC battery and started to vacuum out my truck and with the supplied crevice tool, the vacuum worked great, plenty of suction, cleaned all the tight spots and cornor areas. I then switched to the supplied wide nozzle and tried to vacuum the carpet- NO GO. With the wide nozzle there was not enough suction to clean the truck carpet of the short grass, dried mud, sand etc. The wide nozzle might work for dirt, sawdust, or shavings on a work bench but it ain't got the suck for using it on carpet. The XC Battery lasted 11 minutes, then I installed it with a 5.0 Battery which lasted about 17 minutes to finish the job. This little vacuum will be great for the smaller jobs, but it isn't for cleaning the whole shop. But being able to carry it right to the spot that needs to be cleaned up without dragging an extension cord around will be great. The one thing I dislike about the 0880-20 is the short (around 6 feet) Vacuum hose. While cleaning the truck interior, trying to reach the center of the cab with vacuum on the ground it was a stretch and got a little tiring attemempting to hold the hose stretched out to finish the job. I will be looking around to find another hose about 9-10 feet long to use with this vacuum. Overall I like the 0880-20, I would like to see a little more power, but what it has works good. On a scale of 1-10 I would give the 0880-20 a 8.5 rating
  10. That's what I thought when I first held the 5.0 battery, that must be more moles of lithium anode.
  11. I have the M12 Hacksaw, I use it all the time, works great, and is easy to use. I use it so much now my sawsall is getting lonley.
  12. I just received my 5.0 batteries today and was surprised that they are real close to the same size as my XC's, i really thought they would be larger. They seem to weigh alittle bit more but not much more.
  13. Be carefull, pretty soon you will have to get one of the right angle impacts for those tight places. It appears that the girl friend will soon be looking for a second job so you can afford the new tools.
  14. I have two of the Big Guys coming and should be here on Friday. Thank goodness for the Home Depot Black Friday sale. $20 off on each. I will submit report after receiving them.
  15. I have both, the 2654 is great for most jobs, but the 2763 is the work horse, but is heavier but it will get the work done. My buddy is still using a corded Milwaukee 1/2" impact and while installing Draft Horse Stall at the local fair, all he could complain abot was his extension cord. You do need both!
