Yea maybe more attractive price but it makes you pretty mad when a option you always had in the past isn't there lol the first night I used the saw I needed the 4 position blade holder

The dewalt stud and joist drill is definitely a lot wider than the hole hawg and the hole hawg you can also remove the top handle to get into tighter spots it has happen a lot where the dewalt just won't fit

I never really noticed the sawzall stopping when I have used it but I did notice the stud and joist drill kinda pausing when I used it but always had plenty of power. I am a big fan of dewalt tools but in my opinion the 60V stuff is not what i thought it would be. A couple examples the stud and joist drill is just to bit to get into tight spots you can have all the power in the world but it does no good if you can't get the drill to fit in the tight spot. So i had to grab the Milwaukee hole hawg and it fit in the spot and drilled threw no problem. Another example is the sawzall for little jobs like cutting pvc pipe or cutting over your head the 60V is just to heavy compared to my 20v saw that I use all the time and not having the four position blade kinda sucks for me. Over all the 60v tools aren't bad but just don't work for all the jobs I do I guess I am taking on all the wrong jobs where I need to work in tight spots or over my head lol

yea yea here we go again lol but i am talking pod style batteries vs slide batteries and looking for answers for another contractor I have used the 4 and 5 ah batteries in the adapter and has worked fine i did notice that you won't get your full depth with the circular saw because battery hangs down. Maybe it has something to do with the higher amp hour not being good for the older 18v tools but I really not pushing my cordless tools real hard for long periods of time and I have double of all tools in 18v and 20v so if i burn up a older 18v tool it will be fine. One thing i haven't tried yet is is the new flex volt battery in the adapter guess its worth a try when i get home.

That is kinda what I figured I have 2 of the adapters and love them work perfectly for me. I use the 4 and 5 ah batteries in my circular saw and other high drain tools but not a lot seem to work fine. I guess i will let him know about the battery situation and see what he does. Thanks

I am sure with all the new flex volt battery talk and 20v dewalt batteries people are like who cares about the 18v batteries LOL. But I had a contractor who still has the 18v tools ask me a question the other day that I couldn't answer. He says he has been looking for the dc9180 battery but can't seem to find any and I told him to check ebay or the buy the dc1820 adapter but he thinks the adapter will be to bulky. But after a quick search on ebay I couldn't really find any of the dc9180 batteries new. I did find a person selling the newest dc9182 and he says it replaces the dc9180 but i thought it was replacing the dc9181. So question is are they phasing out the 18v lithium batteries or did dc9182 actually replace dc9180?

i don't know what you have on the outside of the garage but if you have vinyl siding or something similar check out Arlington inbox options to install a out side box part# DBVR141W it comes in white but can be painted. They are very nice low profile boxes that also can have a cord plugged in and still be water proof I use them all the time just make sure you install a GFCI outlet.

It sucks to because when i first seen the leaked photos of the stud and joist drill i said i sure hope they could make one that would run off the 20v battery system now you have to pretty much buy another battery line to use one tool

I don't know what to think yet i am glad i didn't buy any of the 40v tools seems like such a waste to even put their time and money in the line to then come out with 60v tools. Kinda like their 36v line and the 24v. As far as the amp hour battery i am sure they will have it up to 9 amp hour in no time look how fast the 20v system went from 3 to 4 and now 5&6. Some stuff i really don't think you need cordless and there just doing it to one up other companies.

same things i seen looks like a stud and joist drill, also I seen what looks like a metal chop saw guessing cordless, table saw with a light where the saw guard is so probably a cordless table saw and you can also see guys holding batteries with the fuel gauge in the front. so guessing there will be some higher amp hour batteries. also looks like tripod lights or new work lights

I know this isn't a tool but its definitely a DON'T BUY. Swiss DCU Truck Cap DCU is suppose to be Deluxe Commercial Unit but there is nothing deluxe or commercial about it. I bought it on a Wednesday and by Thursday after first rain back window is leaking. Then driver side door starts popping in and out of hinge and by the next rain the passenger side door is leaking. Took video of all the problems and Swiss admitted it should have never passed inspection and all they could do for me was fix it if i came to Indiana at 6am when they open where there shop is. Which would be great if it wasn't a 4hr drive and a day wasted in work and fuel. So i demanded my money back and after a long time fighting I got my money back but the time wasted on the phone and the inconvenience it was still a big loss. I know there are contractors on this forum so i wanted to let you know NEVER buy a Swiss contractor cap if you want good quality, a company that will stand behind their product, or care about their customers.
