  1. Bought a ton of Milwaukee stuff this week, a local retailer was doing a $100 off per kit trade in. I got the gen 2 fuel hammer drill, sawzall and surge impact with 2 chargers and 3 5.0 batteries for $500! Also I got the vacuum and jigsaw m12 bare tools. All this is replacing a very well used dewalt 20v tool selection that has served me well for the past 5 years. But being a plumber my tools take a beating and I like to replace them while they still have some life left. That way I can pass them on to someone who needs them or keep them as a backup just in case. They are definitely too beat up to make it worth selling. Very excited to put my new tools to work Monday! 2. Just got this over the weekend
  3. I use the free version of Tapatalk. It's not that I have a hard time navigating the forum, I was just curious. I like the convenience of having all my forums in one place. That said I like TiA it's a keeper. Nice people and good conversations.
  4. I'm late to the party but...Copper is a great, tried and true product if you have a municipal water supply. If you have well water, l would recommend pex 9 times out of 10. Also if you bid new construction jobs in copper and your competitors bids are for pex, you will be home alot. Viega makes a product called fosta pex(FormStay) that has an aluminum jacket on the outside of the pipe that holds its shape really well and can be used on potable water as well as in heating systems. Cpvc water piping is shit in my professional opinion. Pvc is a great material for drain piping. If its installed properly it will outlast the building.
  5. I like TiA because Eric and Dan are just a couple guys like us. They break balls and talk about tools. I feel like I'm in my garage with my friends When I watch the videos. I Eric and Dan think something is crap, they say so. That's what I look for in tool reviews.
  6. Any chance of getting Tapatalk support for this forum? I use Tapatalk for other forums its a great free app.
  7. Just picked up an Irwin impact driver bit set @ lowes for $16
  8. Im trying to get the wife to agree to move out of ct. They have taxes for everything here and the are all astronomical! I paid $6000 in property taxes on my 2000sq ft ranch last year.
  9. Dewalt 20v radio, the roll cage broke on my 18v version so its a home radio now. Im looking pretty hard at a stick welder for my house, probably a Hobart stickmate. Id love to get a table saw, but I m not in a rush for that.
  10. Put the 18v on the shelf in the garage tonight. The new stuff will get baptized tomorrow
  11. Anyone else ever hesitant to use a new toolfor the first time? I bought a new 20volt kit but at least twice yesterday i used my old 18 volt drill instead. For me its just that the 18v stuff is already beat up from heavy use, while my 20v kit is still my brand new $550 investment. Am I the only one?
  12. Ive been using a 2 sided wet stone since i got my first knife in cub scouts. My father took me down to the boiler room and showed me how to get tthat knife sharp as a razor. The he said he would kill me if he ever caught me using it like a toy.
  13. Hi everybody. Im Bill & I am a plumber from CT. I'm into woodworking in my spare time. Beem in the trades for 15 yearsand there is not much I haven't done or seen. Love working with my hands and the sense of accomplishment you get when a job gets done right. As for tools, I have a solid collection, but nothing excessive(my wife disagrees). Looking forward to some good conversations on here
  14. I'm a plumbing and hvac tech. My company specializes in large industrial process piping, but we take everything that comes our way. My day could start snaking a drain and end welding pipe on a steam boiler, then go out and run oil burner emergency service @ night. It gets hectic in the winter months but it puts food on the table and keeps the lights on.
