  1. You're going to like it. I use mine quite often. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  2. Picked up some Yost parallel clamps. I have some bessys and jets. I rank this with the jets. The heads don't slide down like the older bessys. The handle turns to get more clamping pressure. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  3. My veritas low angle smoother came in today. It's supposed to be a blemished plane. I can't find any sort of blemish on it. Also got some tool wax and a 14 degree guide. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  4. Few good stuff today. My "blemished" veritas router plane. Found a very small casting defect in the cast iron. I'll take the defect for the discount. My low angle smoother will be here later this week. Amana 80th table saw blade. Never used Amana before from tools today com. Seems nice. Doesnt say where it is made though. Lee valley portable light. Bought this to use at the band saw and drill press. Runs on 3 AA batteries. Super bright. Also got a Makita 28th ripping blade for my track saw. No pics though. 5. Lee valley cyber monday sale. Hoping to get a hand plane or two. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  6. That is pretty neat. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  7. Nothing wrong with the 734. I have one and it works great. If you help support the material on the in feed and out feed you won't get any snipe. I have seen no indication that it will be discuntinued. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  8. Lol. Penny stuff is super rare these days. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  9. They might be discounted elsewhere. These were at my local store. They have been in the rafters by the air compressor tools for I don't know how long. Since they were so far away from the lawn and garden it is probably why it got to 01. Status. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  10. Scored a couple $.01 brushless blower kits [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  11. Finished! Three coats of arm r seal (2 semi gloss and 1 satin). Finished by wet sanding with 600 grit and buffed with paste wax and 0000 steel wool. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  12. Guess who put the last coat of poly on today? That's right...this guy! Soooo close! Will wet sand and wax this weekend. Still need to shampoo the floor before moving the furniture in anyways. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  13. Makeshift spray booth. I used the rails of the garage doors for the spray booth. It worked out really well using spring clamps. I initially tried to spray general finishes Enduro var but then I realized the can says to not use on sanding sealer. [emoji17]. Luckily this was my first time spraying with the Fuji semi pro 2 hvlp and I only started on the bottom side of one drawer. After deciding it wouldn't work, I switched to arm r seal. This worked much better. I applied a coat to one drawer, the chest of drawers, and the nightstand. If I was thinking I could have done another drawer. Oh well. I definitely preferred the Enduro var to the arm r seal for spraying...mist wise. The Enduro var was just cleaner. The arm r seal sprayed great but just messier overall. I do have some runs that will hopefully sand out but we shall see. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  14. Very cool of you. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  15. Got my freak from Bosch today. Brushoess w a 6.3amp core battery. Battery size comparison. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  16. Had to fix some tear out on the top right front joint of the chest of drawers. I chiseled it smooth then glued a patch on. After the glue dried I planed and sanded it smooth. While not a perfect repair job it is definitely better than missing wood. Today I also put sanding sealer on the night stand and chest of drawers. All that's left is to sand it and apply the coats of finish. I am going to spray them with general finishes Enduro var. It's a water based poly that is supposed to give the appearance of an oil based poly. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  17. Everything is sanded and the drawers got sanding sealer put on. I am attempting to fox some tear out on the front top of the chest of drawers. I used a chisel to get it pretty flat. I then glued a piece of scrap wood onto it. That is where it currently is at. I will then chisel it and plane it smooth. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  18. Drilled dog holes into my workbench. I used the layout based off of Shannon Rogers recommendation. I put a slight round over on the holes. I also made a hole in one of the legs for the veritas quick clamp. I made the hole deeper than needed and then using a hole saw I made a plug. I drilled a hole for a magnet and pressure fit it into the plug. I then super glued the plug in. This allows for very easy removal and placing it back. http://www.renaissancewoodworker.com/guide-to-workbench-dog-hole-placement/. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  19. While not directly part of the miter station it is right above it. I added some grizzly tools lumber racks to the garage today. One above the miter station. The second one replaced my previous lumber rack. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  20. Chest of drawers and night stand update. I planed the case smooth at the joints and then planed the drawer fronts to the case front. I also installed the drawer runners prior to planning the drawer front down. I sanded to 120 so far to give myself a good surface to measure for the drawer pulls. I drilled for those today and installed the pulls for now. Up next is more sanding to 180 or 220. I also need to fix a small chip out on the front rail that occurred when planing. 21. Lee valley veritas goodness today. Bench dogs, planing stop, and Wonder dog. Veritas tools are so we'll made. You do yourself a disservice if you don't consider them first. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  22. New lumber racks. Grizzlies version of the portamate. $26 plus shipping each. Half the price of portamate. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

  24. Drill drawer update. My drill bit/12v drill storage is atrocious and I need to get it organized. I made a "simple" holder for the drills/impacts/batteries/and attachments for the flexiclick. Turned out alright. They still fit tight. I originally had them facing downward but it was too tall for the drawer that way. If I was going to do it this way I would have used the next size up in forstner bit. Oh well. I'll hit it with sand paper and a rasp. Next was the forstner bits. Half of my bits we're in a case and the rest were still on the blister packs. Those of course do not store well. Using another piece of scrap plywood I cut it to width and then made a grid. I then laid out the pieces with approximate equal spacing. Much faster than mathing it all out. Last was the bit storage for the self centering bits, countersink bits, and plug cutters. I had a good spot on the right side of the drawer for this. I elevated the holder for easier access and replacement of the bits. I made another grid and drilled an 8mm hole (just bigger than the 1/4" shank) and drilled out my spacing. I drilled more than needed so I can add more pieces and move things around if needed. There was a lot of tear out even with the Brad point bits I was using. Overall I am MUCH happier with how this turned out. I had been scratching my head for the longest time about a solution to the drawer. I got everything back in except for the milescraft drill guide. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
