  1. Hey thanks for that article! I've heard them mention different attachments before ,hopefully this time they come through and not just for the 12v models. Those are awesome btw, a 12v drill with 4 speeds and the quick change chuck, yet are compact! Oh and I'm hoping that the price is reasonable on the chucks.
  2. Now that's great service, sadly I don't have a local woodcraft. My only local option for a FESTOOL is acme tools. I love that store, but other options would be nice.
  3. Yeah I have a bookcase and coffee table I wanted to finish sand with the FESTOOL.not making money but I was holding off finishing them until I got the Pro5,lay off is coming soon and it would have been perfect timing,oh well guess the ol dewalt will get a bit more use.
  4. Yeah I noticed a lot of people on this forum pre ordered and haven't received anything while Home Depot, acme etc have them in stores. How can a company knowingly screw over early adopters like that? They are usually the most loyal customers. I mean they couldn't fill the pre orders before sending them to others? I've heard of people having to wait on pre orders because of no stock but not when they have tools to ship.imo it's unacceptable and they need to kiss these customers asses to make up for it. Free tools or batteries would work I imagine.
  5. Has anyone got there's yet and if so did you get your order in the 1st,2nd 3rd etc day? I'm just curious because I got an email stating that they oversold and I can expect my sander on march 23rd. I find it ridiculous that festool didn't foresee how fast that a $99 sander would sale. I,m sorry but I find a 5 month delay unacceptable and this tarnishes how I view the company.
  6. No I haven't yet on the drill chucks.but the festool plunge base apparently works with the supercut after shaving off the hump, seems like there is a gap between the blade and plungebase. I can't find anything about the chucks online but my local acme does carry the drill and plunge base, and they will let me bring my drill and sc in try them out before I buy.
  7. Hi,I rarely post here but check the forums almost daily and the community here seems great and value your opinions. This might seem like a dumb question but does the FESTOOL chucks work with fein drills? I've never handled a FESTOOL drill so I don't really know how similar it is to the fein. I love the fein 18v but I was kind of expecting them to offer a right angle chuck and one similar to the eccentric chuck. oh and I have the supercut and does anyone know if the FESTOOL plunge base and depth stop work with the fein ? I know that fein had FESTOOL shared tech with the above tools but the designs are vastly different and the store that has the plungebase and depth stop doesn't allow returns on FESTOOL accessories. Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!
  8. will the Eu model have a brushless or brushed motor?
  9. I read a review of that chainsaw and lets just say that the guy was impressed with it.
  10. Yeah I used the Dewalt blade that came with the saw and wasn't all that impressed so I bought a Diablo and its so much smoother with a cleaner cut that I could definitely see you getting more cuts with the Diablo.
  11. Makita did the strangest thing . They made a 18V X2 miter saw and its only a 7.5" blade but there 18V saw is 8.5". I wish they would have taken the 18V X2 and brought out a 10" saw.Maybe they will who knows but for $599 (bare tool) I would like at least a 10" saw.
  12. I know that first gen Milwaukee fuel and Fein drills do have different power ratings for the 2.0ah and 4.0 ah batteries. My dewalt is equal across the board.
  13. the old XRP batteries were running at 2.4 ah if i'm not mistaken.
  14. I wouldn't say its a big mistake. Almost All companies with the exception of Ryobi have changed their batteries over the years. Dewalt had a lot more tools out there and so we hear more complaints but change is a good thing. I mean they still sell the stick batteries which most other companies can't say so its not like they left customers high and dry.
  15. I use the DWV9000 for my shop vac. I believes its 1 1/4" adaptor.
