  1. This is going to be a tough call for me. I will have to really hold it in the store and look at the blade design. The new Ryobi One+ hedge trimmer was just released, should be in your HD now, and it is very well designed. The specs (cut capacity/blade length) are identical as this new DeWalt. The Ryobi has a couple things on the DeWalt: The incorporated hedge sweep to help remove clippings and an ingenious rotating handle that I can definitely see as a fantastic benefit when reaching in odd positions or for extended use to change the grip up. Price for the Ryobi is $129 for the kit with charger and compact battery ($69 for bare tool). I already have some 4ah batteries I use with my flood light and fan.
  2. Bought 2 online, added a few more items I needed and used a $10 off $50 code from Renovpower to complete my online order. I will definitely be using these in the garage.
  3. This would make a fantastic 3/8" impact or compact 1/2" impact! Someone swap the anvil in already
  4. They have the 3" and 6" reach Automaxx clamps at my local Lowe's at a good clearance price ($5-$7 off the website price of $29.99). Bought 2 recently. Love these things.
  5. Been using it for a couple months. It is very smooth and oh so handy! I do not regret my decision one bit. I do mostly trim work but have recently done some window fabrication on an old house.
  6. I chose to give the new DeWalt sawhorses a try over the ToughBuilt ones for the sheer fact one of the ToughBuilts weighed about the same as both DeWalts snapped together. I really liked the idea of 2 sawhorses snapping together to carry one unit as well. Makes it handy when setting up. I also have one of the heavy duty DeWalt work stands above that I use as a small saw setup.
  7. There is no height adjustment on these new sawhorses. Used them today. I really like them. I need to get a few S hooks so that I can hang my circular saw and jigsaw on them if I don't have a table set up nearby.
  8. The price is per sawhorse. I bought both with a Lowes 10% off coupon. I looked at those ToughBuilt C550 sawhorses. I was very temped but decided to try these out as they were lighter and snapped together for storage/transport.
  9. Well, I bought a pair, snapped them together and carried around the yard. Decent weight but not crazy heavy with both on one arm. I really like them so far. I will be using them tomorrow when I finish building out the window frame I tore out today.
  10. In my area the one sawhorse rang up $42.xx after tax. I didn't buy it just yet. I will say, it unfolded very easily and was quick to setup. Once setup on the floor and put my weight on it and shifted around, it was very stable. I have an old set of Stanley all plastic sawhorses that need to disappear. These might be the new ones in the trailer. I am still contemplating the Rugged Buddy design as well. I do like how these will hold 2x4s upright to make a quick table.
  11. I bought these Skil pruning blades off of Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/94100-05-Pruning-Reciprocating-Blades-5-Pack/dp/B000BMBPGU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450764330&sr=8-1&keywords=skil+pruning+blade I cut through many 2"-4" branches and two ~6-7" branches with one blade in my Bosch 12v reciprocating saw. Went through two of the 2ah batteries that day. I couldn't have asked for anything better. These worked great.
  12. These new DeWalt sawhorses look very promising. I saw it on the top shelf tonight, grabbed the stairs and got one down, opened it up, checked it out. They are very light and snap together like the Tstak boxes. I am definitely interested in a set. I checked Home Depot online and saw these are a brand new product, no reviews online yet. http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-32-in-Metal-Folding-Sawhorse-DWST11155/206463150 http://www.dewalt.com/tools/hand-tools-storage-and-work-support-saw-horses-dwst11155.aspx
  13. Over at ACME TOOL I just bought the Bosch GLL2-15 laser level which qualified for the $25 off $100 promotion which ends today. They also have a promotion going with Bosch that the laser comes with a free pair of the laser glasses ($14.99 value) and a free Bosch BT150F tripod ($35.99 value). My total was $130.69 out the door. No tax either. I also purchased through Ebates and received 1.5% ($3.00) back in rewards. So, $127.69 total. Not bad for the price. Excited for my new laser. This is my second order with Acme Tools this holiday shopping season. I will say the company has been great to deal with and excellent phone support with the questions I have had.
  14. The non-corded version is now $79 at Home Depot as the new everyday price.
  15. Don't forget the soft close drawers, single locking drawer for safety items, and locking laptop work platform drawer that the Milwaukee has over the DeWalt.
  16. The Milwaukee box is so much nicer in my opinion. It seems a whole lot more thought was put into that tool box. They are nearly sold out of my 5 surrounding Home Depots while the DeWalts sit idle.
  17. Awesome! Congrats! You are going to love the cordless nailer.
  18. I picked up the Bessey clamp set for $8 ($16 before my True Value 50% coupon) and the DeWalt clamp/glue gun set for the same price. Score!
  19. I use the older angled 16ga and straight 18ga nailers exclusively for my finish projects. I would say there is noticeable difference and definitely a holding power advantage for the 16ga. I just purchased the new Makita 23ga pin nailer as well. I would like to update my nailers to the 20v platform and lose some of the bulk/weight of the older nailers.
  20. I haven't seen a mention of these nailers on here so I created this post. I read about these a couple weeks ago and was amazed DeWalt hasn't announced the 18ga nailer to accompany the 16ga unit. Per 'Tools of the Trade': "Porter-Cable recently introduced a new lineup of cordless nail guns for finish carpenters, woodworkers, and remodeling contractors. The PCC790, a 18 gauge brad nailer, and the PCC791, a 18 gauge crown stapler are scheduled to hit the market in Dec 2015 and Jan 2016 respectively." "Expected cost: 18GA Brad Nailer equipped with one 20V MAX 1.5Ah battery (PCC790LA): $199 (expected release Dec 2015) 18GA Narrow Crown Stapler quipped with one 20V MAX 1.5Ah battery (PCC791LA): $219 (expected release Jan 2016)" http://www.toolsofthetrade.net/cordless-tools/porter-cables-new-cordless-finish-nailers_o.aspx?dfpzone=tools COME ON DEWALT! What are your thoughts?
  21. Really Gatorb888!? I could get no information like this from DeWalt techs that I got through the corporate help line. One even called me back after speaking with some inside parts/tech department. He came back to me with no helpful information. This is great info to have. I will be adding this to my new DW716 Type 20 then.
  22. The Hultafors Talmeter is available on Ebay for under $35 shipped from the UK. I have had it in my watched list for months debating if I need another tape measure. Ha.
  23. I have been trying to find a place in the UK that I can buy a handfull of the tstak Vac RACs from as well as the dust collection shroud for the 20v multitool. No luck. It is frustrating that DeWalt won't sell those items over here. Anybody have any recommendations?
  24. I currently have an older DW718 12" sliding miter with XPS light and the 20v 7 1/4" slider. I do mostly custom trim work and built-ins. My DW718 is worn and has a lot of deflection in the slide that I am tired of working around (all sliders have this to some extent). I chose to go with the non slider for accuracy of my miters. I run mostly 6 1/2" base, 3"-5" wide casing, and bigger crown. I have the large DeWalt miter stand, figured I didn't need the small one. I mostly use a Keter folding work table with adjustable legs for the 20v slider or a small furniture dolly.
