  1. It could very well be a flaw in the material, but it still functions and is a pretty cool tape measure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sorry to hear that, we all have those few tools in our box we can't come to terms with replacing or getting rid of, something women just don't understand. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Lesson learned: don't trust your buddy and his Dremel, next time if you have tool rust try using Coca-Cola and soak it over night, it takes light rust right off. Not sure what you can do other than maybe getting a buffing wheel with a little polishing compound, or extort him for some new tools. Best of luck, Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm just really disappointed it's an awesome looking tape measure with a lot of cool user friendly feature, I had high hopes for it, but I'll keep it around, can never have enough tape measures. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Picked one up today, I liked the way it looked and it has some cool features. The under side of the tape is marked so no matter what way you measure you can see numbers. The thing feels real solid and has a smooth coiling system. The other sweet feature is the finger protection bar that alows you to use your finger as a break while rolling it up and avoid getting it caught by the tip at the end. The magnetic tip is nice and big allowing you to grab onto edges fairly easy. The biggest fault of this tape I noticed immediately is the material of it. It is a nylon material that it supposed to not tear or break, but what Milwaukee didn't take into consideration is the structural rigidity of the tape. After about 3-4 feet the tape twists and doesn't lay flat unless you have tension pulled on it. Pretty annoying especially if you are free measuring by just laying the tape flat. Good for measuring lumber but that's about it. Buyer beware it's pretty cool looking but it will just be a spare to my pile of fat max out tape measures. I'll post a few pictures when I have a chance. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pardon my typos I can't figure out how to change the title.

    Heat gun

I need to invest in a heat gun I find myself saying that I wish I had a heat gun right now all too often. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I was drilling get a bunch of concrete holes today and I was I had a compressor with a blow gun other than turning my drill like an idiot to clear the dust out, some sort of 12v tool could be pretty useful specially doing attic work or tight reach areas or where you don't have a compressor around. 8. At HD the combo is yellow tagged at 108, pretty poor clearance price for being on sale for 90 a few weeks ago. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I work for Crete Township FPD, small community about 30 miles south of the city. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The Bosch reax uses an air cartridge that is 100 bucks but there are two units per cartridge. The advantage over the saw stop is it doesn't ruin the blade and you can have your saw running again in no time. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I've seen on ebay a dewalt miter/table saw combo. This was a corded model but basically you lock the miter down, flip the saw over and it mounts to a table. The item was ridiculously priced around 1000 dollars, but maybe that design might pop up in a 20 max design or one of makitas 2x18v models. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Dewalt had a caulk gun on the 18v NiCad platform and the Milwaukee ones you can customize between tube sizes. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I would like to see a cordless planer. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. I wanted to pick it up for the batteries and speaker and then sell the drill but no such luck. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I scoped it out and I want to say it was regular priced around 120 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have the 886 and that thing screws like butter. I like the Milwaukee fuel with the 3 mode plus the self tapping mode, I can see where that would come in handy. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I like bosch's solution of the reax table saw better than the saw stop. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I work on a 142" band saw in a butcher shop everyday and it comes down to knowing the tool your working with, how it behaves, how it reacts under old and its limitations. I've seen people trying to be a hero and so stupid things and get bit. Think about what your going to do before you do it and know where your fingers are. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thank you I'll have to check it out Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm Jimbo, I am a butcher and a fireman. I do a lot of DIY and smaller side jobs. According to my fiancée I have more tools than I need but in my opinion it's not enough. Found TIA on YouTube a month or so ago and started watching their vids. Big fan of what they have to offer as well as the site and forum. Go Cubs Go, Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looking for a way to organize my sockets, I'm not a fan of the ballistic cases that kits come with, anywho I was looking at the Dewalt T-Stack system. Anybody use this line, I like the ability to add other types of storage but I am primarily looking at the shallow and deep drawer boxes. Any body use these for something like this? Also how do the drawers handle weight? Thanks, Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That's interesting, Milwaukee has there One Key line coming out where you can program certain modes into the tool, I'm interested to see Dewalts version. Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Just was at my local Home Depot, M12 jigsaw baretool was on clearance for $75. Price is not online in stores only. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for the review, how does it feel while cutting, I'm thinking about getting one for just small jobs and quick cuts instead of pulling out my 15 amp. Is the weight decent or does it feel to light while making cuts? Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Big fan of the multitools, I have a Dremel 2.3 amp and it gets the job done but it tends to get hot from its lack of power. I don't use mine often to make a difference to upgrade to a Bosch of a Dewalt but the easy change looks awesome. I used mine to tear out a tile floor and switching different blades definitely sucks with an Allen wrench. Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
