This would be pretty nice. I'd also like to see some kind of adapter plate that would allow other things to be attached like the miter saw etc. I routinely set my miter saw on top of my stack to wheel it in to a site, but would feel better if it was locked on. To combine the fold our cart idea and this, you could have some fold our rails that the miter could attach to.

Great for the new HO batteries, but I'm disappointed it doesn't decrease the charge time for all the older batteries at least a little bit. I only have a couple 12's that I basically rotate thru my table saw. Its rare that one is not ready by the time the other dies. I'll be sticking with the current rapid charger. I'm guessing these will show up in kits that have an HO battery eventually, so maybe I'll get one then.

I would agree. Definitely need to make good contact and keep it pressed tight. I use Hitachi nails from Lowes and don't have too many jams. I've shot several thousand through mine. I am 100% cordless with Milwaukee, so I do have that pressure to stay on the same platform and not introduce a new brand/battery, so it's worth it to me to stay and deal with a few minor issues.

bummer. dust extraction was what i was hoping to use it for.

Ended up having to drop off at local service center and they are mailing it off to Milwaukee eService for faulty trigger. Should be a quick fix and should have it back soon.

i'd love to pack away the 1/2" stubby M12 and the new M12 inflator for trips in the car. 250 ft/lb should be plenty for lugs, right?

I just got mine yesterday and have been playing with it. Seems like there is a trigger issue. If I ease on the trigger, it's fine, but if I squeeze it to full power immediately, then 90% of the time nothing happens, like there's some kind of disconnect when you pull too fast. I wondered if this was maybe some kind of safety feature or something but doesn't seem right. I called customer service and the tool is so new they don't even have one on hand to mess with or look at, so they just told me to see if AcmeTools would exchange it for a new one and see if it did the same thing. Or wait a little while and take it to a service center, but they won't have parts or anything for a while if Milwaukee techs don't even have them. I'm also disappointed in the dust collection; chips still fly everywhere, but at least they don't pile up by the blade. The light is a nice bonus. Definitely more power. And its a bit smaller all around, so it fits in my old jobsite organizer better!

I just super glue tiny rare earth magnets from Harbor Freight on to the side and they hold bits just fine.

I feel like there is some basing of the current gen M18 jigsaw. It’s not the greatest, but for this little project it should be more than sufficient. It was mentioned earlier and I agree, you could make the side “left and right” cuts with the jig, then knock out the little “tab” end piece with the OMT. Also, I wouldn’t be too worried about it rotting. Just paint both side with KILZ and it will last plenty long enough.

I had a mish-mash of tool brands and was regularly helping a friend build fences. I decided it was time to go all cordless and try to stay all in one brand to only have 1 battery platform. I chose Milwaukee, although I’ve invested in 12 and 18v, so I do still have 2 different batteries, but being that they share a charger makes that not such a big deal. I chose Milwaukee for a few reasons (some of them much more petty than others): 1) none of my friends had it and I like being different. 2) good friend I trust was highly recommending them and was also looking in to the line, but was so heavily invested in DeWalt I don’t think he’s ever switched. 3) i like red 4) in-laws are from Wisconsin 5) watch TONS of videos and read TONS of on-line reviews and Milwaukee consistently was one of the top rated in whatever category. 6) Milwaukee commitment to sticking with 12v and 18v and not abandoning those lines for higher voltage etc. 7) the innovative ideas; not always first to market, but best in market when they arrive. 8. I can find the deals at Home Depot, but then tell Home Depot, no I’m going to buy them online. I really hate Home Depot and look for any opportunity to try and anger them. 9) now I just feel like I need to get to 10 reasons 10) warranty and customer service had great reputation (and have proven said reputation to me on several occasions)

I have the 10” miter and it will not run on anything less than a 3ah. The 1.5/2’s won’t even spin the blade by itself. The 3 will, but has trouble cutting wood. The 4 and up works fine. I suspect the new tools will be similar.

Acme tools and Home Depot have some of them listed. Likewise, i’ll be waiting for some promo’s or discounts. Hopefully a good July 4 sale or something before they drop on July 6th.

Saw the old rocket light bare tool (2130-20) on clearance endcap for $175. Also had the one-key sawzall for $200. Seems like clearance at local stores is pretty random. You can still get the bare tool rocket light with free 5.0 battery and charger for $200. Might wait to see if it drops below $175; they had 4 left.

So, I had the non-FUEL M12 hackzall and it was fine for PVC pipe, but that was about it; I was disappointed trying to cut tree branches. Then I stepped up to non-FUEL M18 and was very pleased. They recently had a good deal on the FUEL M12 and getting a free bare tool, so I did that and liked it so much I sold my M18. I would only guess the FUEL M18 is badass, but I haven’t used it to know. My only “complaint” with the m12 is I just don’t have that many batteries.

Was also poking around the patent/trademark site and found this patent on a battery(s). I’ve never read these kind of documents and they sound very technical and pretty vague at times, but this one is dated Oct 2017 and reading from pages 78-80ish it sounds like some kind of super-multi-volt all-in-one battery. Or maybe I don’t know what the heck I’m reading. The pics of the battery also look a little different than the current M18’s.
