  1. @KnarlyCarl If you pickup one of the tea pot vacs I'd being interested in a comparison between it and your lunchbox vac... maybe you could post back.
  2. Well there's only 5 cu ft per min difference between the lunchbox & tea pot so you would think they would perform similarly. Maybe the smaller capacity of the tea pot makes a difference or maybe the accessories it comes with don't work as well.
  3. Disappointed to hear it doesn't work well cleaning cars was hoping for an all-in-one solution around the house. Just begs the question if any of these cordless vacs do well for cleaning out cars?
  4. I had long considered the m18 lunchbox vac but could never pull the trigger. Guess I was waiting for Milwaukee to release a newer version that had an AC cord (like DEWALT DCV581H) but by now that's not going to happen. Also not having seen one in person it looked rather large in pictures/videos. I agree having accessory storage with the m18 box vac has to be pretty handy whereas the new tea pot vac doesn't... always trade offs it seems. The box vac is listed at 45 CU ft per min while the tea pot vac 40 CU ft per min so pretty close maybe where you wouldn't notice a difference. I can't find any deals on the tea pot vac either but maybe when Father's Day gets closer.
  5. Thanks Jimbo have you tried the new M18 tea kettle vac or the Ryobi Evercharge?
  6. Has anyone tried the Milwaukee 0882-20 Compact Vacuum for using around/in the house for minor messes... also maybe for vacuuming the car? Was thinking about this or Milwaukee's M12 0850-20 Compact Vacuum to use to replace my wife's Black & Decker vacuum that no longer works. Her B&D is the upright kind that hangs on the wall plugged into a charger and I'm assuming the batteries are just shot which aren't replaceable. She would use it to clean up small messes, dog hair, etc. and was thinking one of the Milwaukee's might be a good replacement since they both come with extension wands. I'm into the M12 system but not the M18 although thought maybe I could pickup a M18 charger & battery on eBay or something. Guess I should mention I'm also into Dewalt 20v Max platform but don't see the DEWALT DC515B 18-Volt Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vacuum as having extension wands. There's a lot of reviews on the M12 but not many with the newer M18 compact vacuum. The M12 may or may not have enough suction for my needs but it does sound like the M18 might. Not having seen either in person I wonder if the M18's size & weight would be a little intimidating or if it's pro's would greatly outweigh those cons? Mike
  7. Well I ended up bidding on 791 and got one for $69 shipped so didn't think that was too bad. I also picked up a DCB203 for $35 so I'd have a lighter battery plus I don't have to rob my blower's battery. I noticed when I tried to register my tools at Dewalt website it's pretty much impossible to do and Dewalt confirms they have an issue. Is it even necessary to register with them anyway?
  8. Thanks guys I'll go ahead and pickup a 791!
  9. Jimbo are you serious about I should get a 790 instead? I see they cost as much or more than the 791 on eBay.
  10. Well I'm not looking for a drill to hurt me just a good overall drill. Maybe it's too much drill for me. LOL
  11. Thanks for the recommendations I had been slightly leaning toward the 791 and you just pushed me over the edge. Wow $66 that's awfully cheap don't see one quite that low right now but do see some in the $70's. Are there warranty issues buying from sellers on eBay or is there a warranty at all?
  12. I bought a Milwaukee drill kit (2407-22) a couple of years ago after owning a Makita 9 volt for 15 years. I'm not a heavy drill/driver user but there have been several times I had wished I had a drill with an 1/2" chuck. I also own a M12 Fuel Hackzall, M12 Stick Light, 2 - 1.5 batteries and a XC 4.0... that's the extent of my Milwaukee cordless tools. For Xmas I received a DeWalt DCBL720P1 20 V Brushless Blower kit which I love so now I'm a part of the Dewalt 20 Max platform. Since it came with a 5.0 AH battery wasn't sure how feasible it would be to use this with a Dewalt cordless drill... would it be too heavy? So to get into a 1/2" chuck drill what would you recommend: 1. Milwaukee M12 Fuel Drill/Driver Bare Tool (2403) regular price $119 Acme Tool, Toolup, CPO, etc. but see Amazon has it for $72 https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-2403-20-Fuel-Driver-Drill/dp/B00BYFNCBO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483576543&sr=8-1&keywords=Milwaukee+2403 2. Dewalt DCD791 Drill/Driver Bare Tool. eBay seller has it for $84 shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-DeWALT-DCD791B-20V-MAX-XR-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-1-2-Drill-Driver-/201671101435?hash=item2ef488cbfb:g:R8cAAOSw8gV Or Acme Tool has it for $129 with free DEWALT-DCB203F battery http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/dewalt-dcd791b
  13. Thanks for replying Bigmike glad you like it! Yes the power thing is something I worry about some not ever having one in my hands, or possibly try out. I live in a rural area near Wichita, KS and I've not found one local dealer that carries one in stock. Do you have any desire to check out the new Milwaukee 18V blower coming out the first of the year?
  14. I posted about the Dewalt 20 Max DCBL720P1 blower earlier in the year asking how it compared to the EGO. After waying the pro's & con's of each thought I would like the lighter weight Dewalt better. It not being a must have purchase decided to wait for a good price and it dropped Sept 2nd for one day to $150... but I couldn't pull the trigger. Milwaukee had just announced their new 18V blower so I had a decision to make already being in the Milwaukee camp. I do believe the Milwaukee will be more powerful but also heavier and possibly more expensive so again I'm back to the Dewalt. Anyway the Sept 2 price drop Is the lowest I've seen and with tax added it would have run about $160. I believe in the past year most were selling this for $200 with sales knocking it down to an average of $180. Now it appears the price has dropped to $180 (non sale price). When Dewalt does this with a tool does it mean they're coming out with a newer model? After using for awhile are owners generally happy with their Dewalt DCBL720P1 purchase... lighter duty work like blowing leaves out the garage and off your drive/patio? CPO has $25 off this blower right now anyone think it could go lower during the holidays?
  15. I believe Charles Harris did a user review back in August but I'm assuming he compared the DeWalt 20V to the EGO 56V 480 CFM. I would welcome his update on the DeWalt whether he still prefers it. I've watched several video reviews on both the DeWalt DCBL720P1 20V Max and EGO 56V 530 CFM blowers. It's a given that the EGO in Turbo mode is more powerful at 530 CFM than the DeWalt but what I want to know is this. When testing the EGO one reviewer said he ran it in High mode (without Turbo) most of the time because he thought most users would use it that way. High mode has a runtime of 22 minutes vs 10 minutes in Turbo. He noted while in High mode it was advertised as putting out 400 CFM and 85 MPH. Since the DeWalt 20V Max puts out 400 CFM/90 MPH and the EGO 400 CFM/85 MPH (in High mode) they would appear to be pretty comparable in normal use. Both priced at $200 does one really stand out over the other? Does the EGO with Turbo mode make it more desirable. Does the lighter DeWalt with possibly better ergonomics make it the better choice? I've never owned or even used a blower of any type before so this is virgin territory for me. I'm thinking I would use a blower for blowing leaves out of the garage, off my deck, and possibly away from the front of my house. I can also see where blowing grass clippings off my air conditioner might come in handy. I'm not married to either DeWalt or EGO ecosystem what cordless tools I do have ( only a couple) are Milwaukee.
