Sweet!! Yea I can relate to ppl stealing crap. Back in 87 I had a 86 trans am, had it for about 3 months got ripped off. 1 year later my work van got ripped off in front of a police station when I went inside to pay a parking ticket!! Both true stories. Got the van back 3 days later and had a bullet hole in the door and a woman was shot in it, but she ended up being ok. Trans am was never found.
Needless to say I catch anyone stealing anything, I WILL shot them.
But back on subject, a belated happy birthday and that certainly is a beast you got there!! [emoji106]

The Milwaukee 71/4" will cut all your needs listed and is double bevel also. Granted the few 4x4s you may cut will need to be turned to cut through completely,other than that it will do all you mentioned and is only 28lbs. I use this saw everyday for 90 percent of my cutting needs. Excellent saw in my opinion and plenty accurate.

Yea obviously I agree but your pissin in the wind... Some ppl think Dewalt invented the hammer.....You use rack and pinion every time you get in your car or truck, Dewalt didn't invent this, but it is one of the best types of fence systems. So why is it that you think Milwaukee should be spanked for offering their customers the best system that's to be offered? Why is it that your not spanking Bosch or Makita who refuse to upgrade, still using glide rails?

No complaints here, I can't really compare it to the gen 1 as I didn't have that one. But have had mine for a couple of months and have used it to trim out a few houses so far. No jams or misfires whatsoever.
Based on my experience so far an easy purchase should I need another one!!

I had a couple of the old style Dewalts and loved them, unfortunately they both got ripped off during a lunch break a few years ago. I bought the newer Dewalt to replace it but had problems with it sinking the nails so I exchanged it and tried another one but that one was about the same. No terrible by any means but was used to my older ones which very very seldom didn't sink a nail.
So I returned that one and went with my old senco 15 gauge air trim gun for awhile, but picked up a Milwaukee 15 gauge and had a little better luck with it, but it's still not as good as my old Dewalts but seems a bit better than the newer Dewalts I tried, so that's what I've been using since.
I don't think you can really go to wrong with either one tho.

For gods sake... Do some research into other tools once.. There's all sorts or features that are copied from all different brands... It's usually a good thing... If it works use it.

For the life of me I never understood the big deal on who did what or I bought this or that... Do you really think I give a shit...
Buy what you like best and can afford and gets the job done for you... I'm sorry... I can't help but think about the ppl that argue this shit are the same pin heads that drive home with their hard hats on!!!!

People do all sorts of dumb things or should I say things that don't make alot of common sense, but the majority by far that use these impacts for a living won't put a 12ah battery on an impact.
It's a moot point as far as I'm concerned.

Makita is dead. They killed themselves with that 40 XGT bs. And they can't put 21700 in the 18V because they don't fit. So they are stuck.
And frankly the others suck too. Their batteries are too big.
I think the only company that has a future is the one that makes a mixed 20V-40V battery and that is small. I think Metabo has it. With some other company.
At this point it's clear that batteries have to be standardised. Same battery for all cordless tools. Governments need to step in and force them to abide to a standard.
Ohhh god please NO!!!! forget the governments getting involved... Please no!!!

I am 100% in favour of Makita keeping the LXT platform compact and releasing the 40v XGT as a better solution to higher demand tools.
Jacking up the current rather than voltage, is a bandaid solution.
Less heat is a good thing, smaller wire is a good thing.
Besides, 12.0 batteries look foolish on 18v drills and impacts.

Why would I or anyone use a 12.0 on a drill or impact?... Not a chance, use the correct battery on the proper tool for the proper application.

I hope you're right about that!!!Hitachi has an excellent 18 volt framing nailer that has treated me well, though I would love to get my hands on the Milwaukee when it arrives. Part of the issue with Milwaukee was that I think they wanted to make sure it performed very well, and not just get one to market just to say they have one, I respect that.

I also like how much faster and easier it is to raise and lower the blade than the dewalt table saw I have.Your right, it is awesome!!
i love how all the accessories store on board.
Now I need the stand . I used it today on saw horses.
Yea the stand certainly isn't anything special but easy enough to move around even with the table saw attached to it. It gets the job done tho.

Don't really understand buying the next gen tool while the one your using works fine.
I ran mostly Dewalt for a good number of years till I ended up burning like 5 cordless drills up all in the same month, I slowly switched to Milwaukee and haven't had many problems at all. (Carpentry and trim work)
I too agree with what others have said, if you do decide to switch just do it gradually as other tools fail and as the need arises.
The few Makita tools I have and had were damn good tools too.
Again, just because a next gen comes out doesn't mean you need it.

Naaa... Not as clear cut as you stated... That's been your experience, doesn't mean it's everybody's.
I had a boat load of dewalt tools, but burned 5 dewalt cordless impacts up on one job of erecting metal buildings. There were roughly a year to a year and a half old. 5 on one job.. Now I have fewer dewalt tools but since have had better luck with Milwaukee and that's been my main brand now.
No tool manufacturer is perfect no doubt, but not every one has the same luck (if that's what you wanna call it) either. Time is money and dewalt began to cost me time and money, made the switch and for the most part glad I did.
While I agree about the comment about the MX line not being necessary for framing or remodeling (for the most part) I'll certainly be picking up the power supply at some point in the future.
Also glad to see progress in all cordless tools whether it be Dewalt, Milwaukee or whoever!
