  1. Woooo... Best ever made.. Ohhh way over simplified, the old reliable Rockwell 315!! [emoji16][emoji16] still have one and use it, almost 50 years old and still going. Also have an old Rockwell 10" circular saw in pristine condition and don't dare use it!!

  2. Yes

I was at a job yesterday where another contractor was using the DeWalt cordless brad gun.  It sounded like it had to wind up each time he pulled the trigger, and there was a delay between pulling the trigger and firing.
I’m guessing this is what they call ramp up time)
I thought it kinda sounded like a toy.

Thanks Don [emoji106] I'm sure I'll be picking this one up as most of my cordless tools are Milwaukee and Dewalt.
Appreciate the input and any other input is appreciated.
Hopefully I find a decent sale on it with the holiday season coming up.

  3. Pro tools? So they are going to sell brands other than Craftsman crap? Or wait for it, going above 1” electrical fittings as an example? How about wrenches exceeding 3/4”? Ok here’s an easy one...will the new pro desk clerks be picked the same way Menards does it? Maybe sort their lumber once in a blue moon so their “top grade” or whatever they call it isn’t all the crooked and knotted ones? Is it too much to ask to carry professional tool brands not made by SBD?

The only pro moves I’ve seen so far is they added parking spaces around the lumber entrance making it even more crowded, clearanced out the remaining Kobalt tools I used to actually buy once in a while, shrank the Dewalt section to smaller than the one at Tractor Supply, and changed from Southwire to more Crescent or Ideal (forgot which) labeled tools in the electrical aisle. No Klein, Greenlee, or Milwaukee to be found, except at HD. I even had to buy Schlage locksets at HD because all Lowe’s carries now is plastic Qwikset and some off brand and equally cheap line. I don’t even comparison shop there anymore. They’re ok for maybe light bulbs and charcoal when I don’t want to deal with Walmart but no serious contractor bothers. Meanwhile if you need anything and I mean anything not in the stores chances are HD Supply carries it. Or you can check HF or Northern or your flavor of supply houses. While HD has become less and less homeowner oriented Lowe’s seems like they don’t even know who their customers are. I’m sure converting all their employees to hourly and cutting hours so no benefits either was a winning move with the employees that don’t give a crap either now. They used to be able to hire semi-retired or injured contractors. Now it’s just kids out of high school that don’t know what a 3/4” elbow is other than a skinny part of the body.

This and then some!!!! I have a lowes 10 minutes away and hardly ever go there, I make more trips to HD that is over an hour away and not anywhere close to most of my jobs!!
Quite frankly lowes stinks for the most part!!

  4. I too have been using Milwaukee cordless and corded tools for over 35 years and never had that many problems with so few tools... Don't know what to say, but I'd assume you're aware of what's out there and been out there for years if your in the trades...

  5. Yes, I've used plenty of primatech cleat nailers. In my opinion they are excellent nailers.
Lately I've been using a Powernail 50p flex power roller cleat nailer that I bought about 6 years ago or so, also an excellent nailer and can't go wrong with the rollered nailers nowadays!!
But no doubt Primatech makes excellent flooring nailers!! Can't go wrong with them in my opinion.

  6. Don't have a problem with them at all. Same foot print straight up. Well built never worry about them cracking or breaking and well fit together. I also have the t-stak and like them to, just not as heavy duty and use them for alot of my lighter trim equipment and painting supplies, sprayer tips and guards and whatnot.

  7. Chris... A bit louder? I'm just about to pull the pin on a new jc10 due to the fact that that Dewalt cordless compressor is so dang loud, otherwise I like it and will use it when I need to go into a house to finish base around cabinets and whatnot. But my question to you is... Is it just a bit louder or is the jc10 a good bit quieter. Obviously without db read outs it's a subjective question. But also obviously I'm hoping that the jc10 is quite a bit less noise.. Lol.
How long have you had the jc 10? Do you have any other rol-air compressors? How's your experience been with it (them) in general?
    Thanks for an input.

  8. I was just looking at these earlier today, have heard pretty good things about them. Almost was going to get one (it was a 2hp I believe tho) but decided I wanted to stay away from an oiless and also wanted to stay with motors that are rated S1 for longevity purposes. Would mainly be using it for trimming out houses and also laying hardwood floors, so also looking for a higher cfm rating. One thing I wish eagle had with their dual tank styles was a higher psi tank rating. Been doing a hell of alot of research trying to decide which one to get. Right now I'm leaning on trying to find a rol-air dual tank that's fairly quiet also.
I'm open to ideas or referrals!!

  9. I came around and bought the smaller packout boxes...the slim organizers and the taller organizers..and a tote.
.....got that 2 pc set also for 249...had to try out the new compact drill and impact....
...still don't like that mid size and lg size packout with the aluminum corners..wasted space...and the rolling box lid doesn't stay open by itself...
If you're referring the the main (bottom) tool box of the pack out system... Sure does, just push it back, it actually kind of snaps in place and stays open.
Not sure where some of this misinfo comes from, but it should and does stay open. At least all the ones I've seen, have and used have all worked that way.
