ToolB, this is the direction I'm going, clean and inspect first, then to ebay for a charger. Is it 'bad form' to ask here if anyone has a charger for sale for a DC9098 18V batterypack?

Walking my dog last night I found a Dewalt DCD950 on the top of a trash bin. Naturally I picked it up and immediately pulled the trigger. The drill had one second of forward, very slow, then tried reverse, same, very slow one second of movement. Since the drill itself is in very good condition I brought it home as I just thought the battery might need a charge. I read 15.5 volts on my volt meter. I spent a half hour trying to find either youtube or a help forum and found this friendly place. Suggestions and advice welcome, thank you.
