Something is wrong with the electric motor of a Dewalt DW744 portable table saw that I inherited. Smoking, and not working. Is it worth it to fix it, or too expensive? Should I even bother to take it to an electric motor repair shop? Thanks.
`So I have had the 60v table saw for a couple weeks now and really like it. I also have the FV Miter saw which I do have on a rolling stand. I was thinking about buying a rolling stand for the table saw but kinda like how small it is and I can put it in the passenger seat of my Single cab work truck. In all honesty I think I have decided to keep the table saw without a stand and cut on the ground as I normally do. Question is if you were in my situation and maybe you are would you purchase a stand for this saw? if so which one??
Recently I purchased a drill powered Tablesaw (Hitachi branded). But it seems very specific to what model drill I can actually use to power it. I've tried several old drills I have and have had no luck (either the collar was too small and the drill wouldn't stay put or the bit that attaches after taking off the chuck wouldn't fit because the shank was too small or the thread not fine enough). I was hoping someone out there could tell me what drill I need to get this thing up and running or had any ideas on what else I could do to get it running? Thanks to all in advance!
