2754 3/8 Impact for F250 lugs

I'm thinking of picking up a new impact, and I'd like to go with a 3/8 because I already have a socket set. I've read and seen videos on the 2754 and it seems like a solid choice, but would it be okay for busting lugs off an F250? I'm not as much concerned with torquing them back on, I would use a wrench for that. Spec calls for 165 ft-lbs, so thats what I would need to be able to remove. Thanks for the help!

Whether you go with the 2754 or 2755 3/8" and 1/2" I want to say they are both rated at 210 lbs, very strong compact impact, should be able to bust the lugs with a little work, now if you want something thats going to bust it with ease id recommend the 2763 HT 1/2" impact, 700lbs of nut busting force, Ill double check on the 2754 though

The 2755 is a pin detent, correct? I'm looking more at the 2754 for the hog ring and 3/8". If I was gonna get a 1/2", I would get a 2763. The 2763 is definitely on my list to get one day, but that has a bit more ass than what I would need day-to-day. I appreciate the info!

Sorry just meant a compact 1/2" in comparison, i would prefer the hog ring, but my current set up like what you want a have a 3/8" 2754 and a 1/2" 2763, theres really nothing I can't do between both impacts, the 3/8' will handle most stuff and what is doesn't its big brother does

I have the 2755B which is the compact 1/2" with a ball detent (the most recent gen might be a friction ring).  Anyways, this impact was able to remove the lugs off my F150 (150 ft-lbs torque spec).

With that said, I also have the bigger 2763 and there is a noticeable difference in the time and number of impacts required to remove the lugs.  But I tend to grab the 2755 (and hearing protection) when rotating the tires.

The 2655B is ball detent. The 2755B is hog ring. Whether it can do lugs depends where you live. Nasty winter/condensation rusting them on a bit? Doubt it. I use the 2763 on my Silverado 1500. The 140lbs my lugs require to be torqued to is minor, but salt and moisture can seize them up pretty tight for removal. 2755B is on my list, I wish I could tell you one way or the other as it currently stands.
