Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but he thought we were his parents. See my avatar. SetBuilder Posted February 25, 2017 Report Share Posted February 25, 2017 Thats awesome, I have raccoons that dig up the mulch in my yard constantly looking for grubs. Skunks come through as well. I'm in Los Angeles but less than 1/2 a mile from the Angeles national forest. Its not uncommon to see coyotes on my street after dark. There was even a bear a while back getting an escort through the streets from the sheriffs dept. Maybe I should make friends with the raccoons and they will stop digging my yard up. This is him about a week after we got him And this was him 3 years later just before getting hit by a car. Absolutely the best pet ever. Will remove all the mounts to apply poly and then put them back on. And build a dove tail drawer. Doesn't help I just purchased another plane online today and hoping for another one tomorrow. Need a good place to put these! Have some extra space on inside sidewalls for the new white rubber mallet and two rasps I have coming but can add those after its mounted on the wall. rrmccabe Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2017 Progress and setback. The progress was I got the first coat of poly on the tool cabinet and all the tool mounts. The setback back was my Jorgensen clamps showed up today. The six small 6" clamps were fine and are Jorgensen brand as they were supposed to be this time. However, the five 24" clamps I ordered are apparently a "HD" version which is not really a bad thing but the bar is about 20% thicker and the fixed head is taller and deeper. So, I had shorten one section of my clamp rack and now rebuilding a deeper section with 5 wider slots to accommodate the new heavier clamps. As I type this I just got thinking I better check the width as well as I might have to stretch the spacing out which will involve moving the rest to the right a few inches. I need to pick up some wood to build the little dovetail drawers and have a couple more tools to build mounts for but this thing is "in service" And the Sketch up drawing. Having everything in CAD saves a lot of potential screw ups along the way and the completed project usually looks just like the drawing. And redid the clamp fingers so the new "HD" version of the Jorgensen clamps would fit. As you can see the very left five 24" F clamps are a lot bigger than the next three. Based on the trim I would say its a 6 cylinder or 327 small block. I used to be into vintage Camaros and actually owned a legit 1967 Z28/RS. I have had lots of big/small block stuff over the years but have pretty much gravitated to small blocks. Now its LS powered stuff. PS: Just noticed it has the nose stripe on it and is a SS. comp56 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Share Posted March 7, 2017 nice job, funny my 6 or 7 tape measures all gather at my computer desk along with all pencils......that's why I got my wife to sew me a tight fitting pocket on my apron for remote for dust collector a lot easier to find apron, I would misplace that in about 8 minutes.....
