Looks Awesome!  I just invested in everything needed for resin casting.  Pressure Pot, Vacuum Chamber, Vacuum Pump, Mould Making Silicon, Dyes, Powders, Allumilite and other miscellaneous goodies.

However, I just don't plan on making pens, but lately I have been making a bunch of twig pots, vases, and threaded boxes out of wood, and thinking I will be able to make some cool "hybrid" blanks with resin and wood.

Since I was just "relieved" of my employment, I am going to spend the winter months enjoying time in the workshop, before I have to go back to the daily grind lol.

That sounds like fun...... sorry to hear of your new found status, but I’m sure you will make the best of it....

That's the way to do it...stay busy and engaged.  My father-in-law, an electrician for 4 or 5 decades, had to retire after a fall at work a couple of years ago.  I was hoping he would tinker around in his garage and stay occupied but he opted instead to do what he used to in his off-time--chain smoke in front of the TV.  Now he's incapable of almost anything physical.

I'll be potentially facing an unknown period of unemployment when I retire in a few years, but plan to stay busy one way or another.  In a pinch I'll take a low-paying job just to help pay for tools.  😄

Thanks .....

I was looking for a hobby that allowed me to complete projects in lesser time frames, this way I didn’t have to wait for weeks or months to see completed projects. I have sold quite a few, that helps to pay for the hobby itself. I consider that a win !!
