eurgo Posted July 10, 2017 Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 Hello, I am trying to find out if my Makita RT0701c router (110volt) will be able to fit an 8mm collet. I know that the 220v version of the same machine will fit a 6mm and an 8mm, but I am not sure if the 110v version is built to different specifications. ChrisK Posted July 10, 2017 Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 Mine is 1/4" and 3/8", I don't know why it wouldn't but I'll be honest, having a chucked bit going a few thousand rpms, I would be really sure. Typically the 110s used SAE sized bits as opposed to metric so it's probably acceptable buuuuuuut......Maybe call Makita customer service, they'll know for certain. Also, welcome to the forums.
