D W
I have the 18V subcompact XFD11 drill and when the trigger sits right at the point where it will step up or down in speed it will jump up and down between the speeds rapidly, even if you hold the trigger stable. I'm not 100% certain it has always been like this so I wanted to check with other owners if this is normal for this drill. I don't remember it happening when I first got it but maybe I didn't really use the trigger this way to notice it. Other brushless tools I have don't do this, it's just a clear step up or down in speed when you hit a certain point (no jumping).
kornomaniac
Can't imagine it should jump. Speed is controlled by the trigger or electronics so that would be first guess
D W
I think something is definitely wrong with this drill. I used it this morning and the electronic brake just stopped working. I pulled the battery off and put it back on and the brake was working again. Such a shame, I love this drill, but I hate using it now

kornomaniac
If the brake also is acting weird I guess electronics. Time to get the warranty involved me thinks
