Ryobi BP42 Backpack Blower

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this is just user error on my part, but I'm lost.

I just changed out the fuel and return line on my blower, and the fuel filter.  I'm not to good at it, so i removed the air filter cover, the air filter, the air filter housing, and the carburetor.  Got everything re-assembled, primer is pumping like it should, all fluids look good as they flow through the new lines, score!

My issue is that my throttle (the trigger thingy on the handle) will no longer allow me to press it in.  It's stuck in the "out" or "extended" position.  What do I need to do to fix this?

And since I am sure I am butchering terminology here, attached is an image that has a red arrow pointing to the "trigger" that I am referencing.

Is this due to me connecting the "pin" back to the carburetor incorrectly?  May have nothing to do with it just a thought.
