Is Dewalt D28715 the same as the Older DW871?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to sell my father's gently--I mean, RARELY USED tools to pay for his healthcare since he endured a major stroke.  I've listed a DW871 14" chop saw with metal cutting blade that he might have used on two total small projects as the hobbyist he was.  I have a guy arguing with me that this saw new, is $199.00 D28715.  I argue that it is the one prior to the current DW872 that is $475 and I'm offering it for $300.  I want to be fair.  Is the D28715 identical to the DW871, just newer?  What is a fair price?

I appreciate that.  The one I saw on ebay was used all to pieces.  The one I have has very, very light wear.  $200 maybe?

Old tech is old, regardless of original price.

A large screen TV of yesteryear may have cost $2000.

Now, with better technology, the same size can be had for $800.

Why would I buy your barely used TV for $1000 when I can buy better for less?

Most people looking for used tools are looking for deals. Price as you see fit and don’t argue with cheapskates.
