Colin
Hi - I 'll start by saying I am a rookie regarding power tools. I just received a DieWalt DWE6423 orbital sander thru Amazon. I attached a disc and turned the tool on. The motor sounds like it is running normally yet the disc is barely turning (about once per second). I removed the pad and the belt is not broken yet it also rotates at that slow speed. Am I missing something obvious? Does the tool require pressure against a work piece before the disc attains to correct speed? Thanks! Colin
