where to find a battery and charger for my Makita tools

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone! I have just purchased some old Makita tools. I would love to use them but I have no battery or charger and I am not sure what kind I need. I have attached a photo with my power tools and with a battery. I also have a photo with a charge but I don't actually have the charger and I don't know how or where to look for it. Please help!

Wow that is old school.  If you can't find anything on eBay, I have heard people post on Craigslist under the wanted section.  Not sure if you can find a good battery for that set as they probably aren't made anymore, but you never know.

As Eric said and if that doesnt work, look into pulling the batteries out of their shell and actually rebuild them.
There are some videos on youtube that will put you on the right track.

I have a couple Nicd I want to rebuild as soon as i buy a 60 watt soldering iron.

Just make sure to use quality cells if you do a rebuild.
