Moze
Not sure what caused this, maybe the terminal plug came loose or something. Anyway, I was mowing and the batteries died. Changed batteries and it wouldn't start. Tried to remove the safety key and it wouldn't come out. Disassembled the plastic shroud on the handle and turns out one of the terminals was melted. The nice thing is, you can easily bypass the safety key. You can see in the photos where I removed the melted wire and simply plugged the good wire from the switch directly into the terminal of the green wire. Easy fix. Curious if anyone else has dealt with this....
Big Adam
Interesting, partly because my key is yellow! Did you routinely plug/unplug the key prior to this, meaning wear could be an issue? I’ve left mine plugged in since Day 1.
Moze
I've never removed it.
WendyTimmons
Right in the middle of this now. Disassembled the housing, see the melted part, but don't understand what needs to happen next. Can someone clarify for me?

Randy Martian
The electrics in mine have burnt out on the joins and key 3 times now, bad design! Probably not the mower for heavy work this helped, thanks 🙏
