DeWalt Mower - Melted Terminal on Safety Key

Moze

Recommended Posts

Not sure what caused this, maybe the terminal plug came loose or something. Anyway, I was mowing and the batteries died. Changed batteries and it wouldn't start. Tried to remove the safety key and it wouldn't come out. Disassembled the plastic shroud on the handle and turns out one of the terminals was melted.

The nice thing is, you can easily bypass the safety key. You can see in the photos where I removed the melted wire and simply plugged the good wire from the switch directly into the terminal of the green wire.

Easy fix. Curious if anyone else has dealt with this....
