KDamericano
As I recall, the "V" series was Milwaukee's first line of lithium powered tools, with the "M" series being the newest line and offering better performance, lighter batteries, etc. In the 18V series the "V" and "M" are not compatible, in fact Milwaukee has discontinued almost all the V18 tools-- though I'm told they will continue to make the batteries and chargers for the next 5-7 years. It would appear that in their v28 line, however, the new m28 tools and batteries will be backwards compatible.
