PeteW
what's the runtime like on the 12volt drywall guns?
overanalyze
I really like the look of these!! For smaller projects I think these would be awesome. I am struggling a bit on ordering this one vs. The 18v model....
madman_us
800 screws with a 2.0ah battery 1200 with a 2.5ah battery @ overanalyze, even for bigger jobs the 12v gun has amazing run time. that thing is just so tiny.yeah its a tough decision, 12v vs 18v gun.but i think the 12v comes more in handy; super lightweight ( 0,9 kg with the 2.5 Ah battery) , the 18v with a 4.0 gonna be on the heavy side. ( 1,6 kg with the 4.0 Ah battery) 18v gun gets 3400 screws with a 4.0ah battery
DR99
I don't think you really need the 18v power for a drywall gun.
Mr. Yellow
Not for drywall on wood? The specs from the 12V are nice, but ofcourse it lacks power over an 18v tool.I like that you can use it with the collated attachment. That is one tiny and lightweight tool. Thanks for the update Madman!
overanalyze
Torque is important for drywall work. If you have to install screws into yellow pine vs. softer white wood it is a big difference. Also screw size helps too. 1-1/4" is plenty for 1/2" drywall and that is a big difference in speed of screw installation vs. 1-5/8" screws. That is my hold up...I don't care about number of screws per battery or the collated adapter (although I like it!!). I want to know if it has the torque to install screws into harder wood. We have older Senco Duraspin 14.4v, brushed, nicad, drywall screwguns and they suck in harder wood!!
Mr. Yellow
Maybe I'm stupid, but I wonder why (collated) screwguns don't have a speed switch, like the drills and impact driver have...With it you could use the screwgun also for wood on wood applications and not only drywall.
