northlyndon
I think I'm in love... Great dust control and has made short work of everything that I've thrown at it thus far. It makes my old palm sander cry out of sheer inadequacy.
Charles Harris
Cool tool. Is that a 5 or 6"?Welcome to the forums.
northlyndon
Thanks. Caught this video and as a fan, decided to jump into the fray. It's a 6" - although looking at the backing pad specs, it actually could take a 5" too just like the interchangeable ROS65VC.

ChrisK
Welcome to the forum Northlyndon and I have the ROS65VCL and it is right up there in quality and performance with my Festool sanders. What are you using for DC with that beauty?
northlyndon
grats on that sander. i never really looked closer into that one. interesting with the power mode.i love my ROS65VC due to Vibration control I looked at the ROS65VC as well and it's a great piece of engineering, but opted for the 1250devs because I am planning on doing some sanding with built in cabinetry/paneling and liked the ergonomics for holding vertically at eye level. The power rotational mode (i.e. grinder time!) is the real deal and it removes stock fast when needed. I'd love to say a Festool CT26...but alas, I currently have a standard 5G shop-vac wtih HEPA filter and drywall collection filter bag. It does the job, but an area where I am doing more research for a future purchase.
