  1. Received it today. Coincidentally with my DWV902M Holy shit. No word that has been said about this radio is lied. It's freaking amazing. I love it! Great reception, both FM and DAB+ (European model) Put it through it's paces and that bass is crazy (if you want it to be via eq) the thing literally moving on it's feet (full volume on radio and phone and playing some crazy techno) Best sounding radio out there. Milwaukee? Bosch? Mikiti? Fuggehaboutit. This is the one you want.

  7. I know. But you can only judge if you heard it. I expected it to be good after anyone raving about it, but it's better than I expected. So now to make room in the van. Luxury problems...haha. I bet yours is coming pretty soon then though ?

  11. This is an older thread that I moved to the proper location as I came across. I did get the Jet JDP-17 and love it. While it's a 3/4 hp model and not really rated for holes over 3/4" in plate steel, I can put 1" holes in 3/8" plate with proper technique. I wouldn't want to have to do it all the time as it's definitely outside the press' comfort zone, but a hole like that is an occasional thing for me anyway. I'm quite happy with the Jet press. I like the belt-less speed changes of the Powermatic, but the Jet serves me well at half the cost.

  16. I'm with you. It's been painful watching tool after brushless tool when, for one of my favorite tools, I'm stuck with a cord or a painfully outdated cordless tool. At least I'm not invested in Dewalt waiting for anything to go brushless.

  17. I believe the 90T Mac Axis Series ratchets are the nicest on the market, but they aren't a "value" type item. I'm a Proto guy. I have a ton of tools and 75% of them are Proto. It depends heavily on the particular item, but you really can't go wrong with any of the industrial brands. In most cases you're getting truck quality tools at a fraction of the price. I like a lot of Blackhawk stuff and here recently I've had my eye on Bonney tools. I have a favorite everything, it just depends on the tool.

  23. The current Kobalt line isn't made by Danaher's Gearwrench. It is sourced through a company called JS Products out of Las Vegas. They're a huge importer and also own the Steelman name. They're also the source of most damn near all the Taiwan made bit sockets being sold by professional brands including Carlyle and even Mac. At the tool shows I've been to JSP always has one of the biggest booths.

  24. Check that they are insured/liscenced/bonded. Ask for references, and do not afraid to call those references and ask them questions such as: Was the contractor on time? Was the contractor on budget? Are you happy with the work completed? Did you have to call the contractor back to fix any issues? And other questions you need to make you feel comfortable and that may be geared toward your specific project. Ask to see a portfolio with pictures. If they cannot present one, it's probably a sign to move on. I work for a General contractor. I don't sell the work to the client but my pictures from t
