  1. It's a hammer drill which means it has to have that much movement to allow for the hammer function.
  2. BS is right... The adapter won't work simply because your nailer is too old for the electronics. Either invest in a new one, or buy the compatible "genuine" batteries
  3. Not quite since the longest pins will be 2 1/4 so hang on to your Ramset for now. General rule of thumb is 1 inch penetration into concrete so if your nailing a 2 x 4, you still need a 2 1/2 inch pin

    Dewalt chain saws

Well see, that was the problem right there.... It was a Makita

    Help

your pics don't show enough to be sure, but that looks like an old time Ramset powder actuated nailer
  6. Partly, yes... On the type 1 which I have, the upper arm drive rod can work loose and begin to rattle inside the arm. I took mine apart and reamed the inside out a bit... On the type 2 they fixed this issue...
  7. Here in the states, we're jealous of that flip saw in the one pic...
  8. But even then, crown can be layed flat on the bed to cut
  9. You have the hoodie which is from this past winter. Original ones from the year before didn't have it, but yours should have a wash label on the inside. Couple things to keep in mind. No heat, and don't wring it dry. Either can harm the heating elements. I own a vest, and don't have it with me, but if I remember right, the label says mild wash, do not bleach and tumble dry on lowest setting... Personally, I do the wash, but don't have the guts to throw it in the dryer so let it hang dry...
  10. Drive chain 115 goes from the gear box to the rear roller. Then, on the opposite side, chain 101 goes from the rear roller to the front roller. If one is spinning freely, it is most likely eith the chain, or one of the sprockets on the opposite side of the gear box...
  11. Yes, most will be interchangable and use a 1/2 - 20 spindle. The ones that are not, you will not see the LH screw that holds the chuck in the parts diagram
  12. Careful with the hook angle on the blades though. Miter saws are best with a real slight positive or a negative hook angle. A typical blade for a circ saw is about 15 degree positive which on a miter, could be dangerous in that it will actually try to lift the wood as your cutting and gives you more blow out. The negative pushes it back against the fence as it cuts with the blow out only out the back of the piece... Make sense?

What type number is it? That will be next to the model number on the drill... The type 1 is the one using the conversion kit because to replace the chuck, you literally have to replace the entire transmission. The kit turns the type 1 into a type 2... On the type 2 and 3, as framer said above, there is a screw inside that is a torx 20 LH thread.... Pull that screw, then the chuck should unscew in the right direction...
  14. Stopped making it in 2009, shortly after they acquired Delta, and just before they launched the new UniSaw... At the time, it seemed Delta would be for shop saws, while DEWALT stuck with portable tools...
  15. Easy enough Illini... My wife uses my DCL040 to spot deer in our backyard, the moment I told her DEWALT was coming out with one 10 times as bright, she said we had to have one ASAP!!!! :-)

    I-socket

The DWV012 has the switch built into it.
  17. Look at item 10 in the parts breakdown, that's your hammer mechanism as a single part. In your pics, it is in pieces... broken....
  18. Your missing quite a bit actually, and the hammer itself is broke. Try going here: http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail/DC825B Chose your type number, and it will help you view all the parts. The way it looks, about everything from item 10 (hammer mechanism) to the far right needs to be replaced...
