  1. Not that scarce guys. NERemodeling is a huge Makita guy as is Kornomaniac. Makita has a way better woodworking line than Milwaukee as does Bosch. Real high quality tools, just too, trade specific right now. I am just waiting patiently to see when Makita starts putting the fuel gauges out there. As far as innovation, keep an eye out on Bosch too. Wireless charging is a fantastic option and I've got two of those chargers. Awesome stuff. Their power planers are fantastic and don't forget Bosch when it comes to electronic measuring and lasers.
  2. Welcome to the forum @plumber15 ! I'm thinking Dewalt might be coming back with some new stuff. KWC is the master of illusions pulling little hints out of thin air! But he's always right with his little teases Can't wait to see what you guys have around the corner KWC!
  3. Quite the investment Ricky! Are you mint 5.0s yet? I've got the DCD985 USA built and love that guy. For a brushed motor that drill has a heck of a lot of torque. When I put in my alf wall to support the new plumbing run in my basement shop that is the guy I used to drill dozens and dozens of tap cons. Thing is a beast.
  4. Well maybe you didn't attend the three day crash course taught by Marvin.... Oh goody! My illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator.
  5. It does look like a good deal. ToolNut is AWESOME to deal with and that's a great price for a nice set of drill bits. I might actually get this one for my Dewalt set as I'm running low on bits and have only a limited amount of drills for my non Centrotec chucks.
  6. John, welcome aboard the forum sir! This ice cold Samuel Adams Porch Rocker is for you!
  7. Mine is the chemical composition of the sub particle nicretium 74, a small particle found on the 4th moon of Saturn.
  8. I've got the Rolair JC10.........Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  9. Sorry to hear that Madman. Definitely not common but it's too bad that happened. They will cover the return though, they always take back the tool if there a problem. I'm surprised they did that. Tyler Tool I believe is owned by CPO too just so you know. I've bought from Big Sky Tool which is a certified Hitachi recon company and like CPO I've always been lucky with my purchases.
  10. So, I think I'm in line with several others. Get the tools. I remember when I had M18 tools, I kept buying batteries and battery kits. I'm not a pro, I'm a woodworker and DIY guy so having a half dozen batteries is not good. They sit. Never get used. Buying the extra tools especially if your in need of them, is the best way to go. You've got two hands so if you've got a couple of batteries in cycle, you will always have an extra battery. If you've got a pack in each tool your using, perfect. Physics dictates you can only do so much with each hand..If you got say five batteries and three tools, sure, you'll never run out of juice, but getting that extra job done might not be too easy because you lack the tools. My M12 Fuel too.s are powered by two 4.0s and one 2.0. I've goth the Fuel Hackzall and Impact plus the rotary tool. Batteries are never a problem. My Bosch tools are powered by one 4.0 and two wireless 2.0s. When I'm using the tools, I cycle the batteries and discharge them regularly so I hope to elongate their usefulness. My Makitas are powered by three 4.0s but one of those two tools runs on two batteries. My Dewalt Nailer, Hammer and Circular are powered by one 3.0 and two 4.0s. Batteries are always being cycled. If I want a new tool, I just get the tool.

Thanks for the info Kruton and to be quite honest, sometimes I like to indulge myself with some chocolate and white wine and sit on my couch with a comfy comforter and dip my feet in the massager and look at TiA Pinterest.....SERIOUSLY HAND IN YOU MAN CARD!!!!!! Just kidding! Actually I had no idea they were there and I use Pinterest ALL of the time. Its an awesome site with some really cool stuff for woodworkers. I had no idea they had a Pinterest site so I am going to follow it right now!
  14. Wow that's an awesome project knife! Some leather around the handle and BAM! Now THATS a knife!

    Colt router

http://youtu.be/gHJktChv4Ck It's expensive Kruton and I don't push Festool, there's a lot of high quality tools out there without the Festool name. My table top router is a Bosch 1617EVS which is an awesome machine. Really what you are getting besides quality is its part of a proprietary system of tools. My mainstay tools are Festool and they all work together via DC with HEPA or the rail system etc. My two Festool routers work phenomenally with the LR32 drilling system and rails. The Colt is a proven design though and is well made. I have not heard anything bad about that machine and there's a lot of options that can be put on the machine to make it even better!
  16. Wow. That's pretty amazing. That guy has some crazy ideas and he makes them work.

    Colt router

Haven't tried the Colt but everyone likes it and the kit with the plunge base is really popular. Conductor has the Makita kit with the plunge I believe and he likes that one. I have tried the Ridgid which is pretty cool and has the LED lights but I haven't tried the Dewalt. Personally, I have the Festool OF1010 which is a compact unit with plunge and it's truly a fascinating machine. I honestly don't think you can wrong with the Bosch or any of those other ones. They are in the same size category and similar power.
  18. Awesome stuff Turner. Looking great. Congratulations on the company too!
  19. Well that's one way of getting a new camera. Oh and stitches, helmets, metal halos etc. etc. etc.
  20. Pretty nifty Doof. Any type of tool stuff is awesome, especially when it's free. I got the new Skil sidewinder magnesium circular saw and they sent me a shimano chain with a Skil bottle opener on it. I was tickled pink. That's just good CS on Milwaukees part, good for you dude!
  21. Shuutr, funny that. That's a nice deal for you but looking at the machine next to the Fuel M12 drills is funny. That's a really nice compact powerhouse not much bigger than the M12!
