  1. Lots of experience buying from CPO and Tyler Tool. I've got a recon DW734 that shipped brand new, my Dewalt 20v two speed framer, my Milwaukee M12 rotary, my Ryobi 18v Brad nailer. I've been a customer for several years. Never had a problem. Plus the one year warranty is nice.
  2. Welcome aboard avi. Glad to have someone from Israel on! Can't go wrong with ANY of those tool lines, I've got a rainbow of power tools in my shop supporting my Festools.
  3. Jason, that's a heck of a post dude. I had NO idea you could do that with the square. Thanks for sharing!
  4. KWC I've got an Empire speed square and the Dewalt looks like a nice one, I'd bet you'd sell quite a few. Even is DIY guys use them ALL the time.
  5. Ha. Look out OSHA! I'm guessing the box is empty
  6. Welcome aboard Gary. Have fun poking about man. Lots of good guys and information available. Plus a support group for the invetiable empty wallet syndrome.

    Hey! I hit 3k!

I was just looking at my profile for an update and saw I was over 3k posts! WOW! I have a lot say apparently. Now if I could just say something useful!!!
  9. Yeah it's a fun story to tell and everyone is blown away I was climbing. I'll never top that one.
  10. Like buttah Mike.....Like buttah! It's an awesome machine no doubt. The DC is great for a miter saw, the best really. The finish quality is amazing and the adjustable speed, lock put, easy blade change and dual lasers is just friggin awesome. Plus.....it's sexy! Super light, easy to carry around and 12" cut capacity in a 10" saw. It's a purpose built machine with incredible accuracy. I really can't say enough about it. And NER is rightt on too. I checked out the 1018 at Brock's supply here in town and man, that IS a nice saw.
  11. Probably the best Milwaukee deal I've seen kdv!
  12. Welcome to the forum n00b!
  13. I know you go up to Maine John but several (14-15) years ago I was at Odiorne State Park in Rye NH mountain biking up an old WWII gun emplacement. Totally overgrown with sumac and trees and there's a single track path up the side. It's probably 90 outside and I'm huffing and puffing up the side of this when I ran into a shag carpeted wall. I had my head down, watching me pump the pedals and sweating like crazy. I fell off the side of the trail and realized the shag wall that was in my face was a huge stag! The thing stopped and was looking at me like I had seven heads sprouting outta my neck! It was like..."holy sh1t! Some dumb a$s just hit me!" My friend came up as the deer was standing off the side and she was saying are you okay? I'm like I just hit a friggin deer! She's like "BS!" I point at the deer which is maybe ten feet away with the stupid look on its face still and she started laughing her a$s off! I hit a deer with a Trek Mointain Bike!
  14. Wera bits are right up there dude. Pretty much everything I have currently is Dewalt but I'm still in the market for other systems. I also have the Festool Centrotec installers kit for my Festool drills which includes the Zobo drill bits.
  15. Dude nice set up! Can't wait for a garage!
  16. Welcome to the forum Northlyndon and I have the ROS65VCL and it is right up there in quality and performance with my Festool sanders. What are you using for DC with that beauty?
  17. Hmmmmmmmm........Kapex? The 780 is an awesome machine and the research I did in the machines put the 780 at the top of the list but I ended going Kapex (super deal otherwise I would've gone Dewalt or Makita). Bosch' axial glide is a beast too, I've heated mixed reviews on DC which is a big deal for me whereas I work in my poorly ventilated basement.
  18. Oooohhhhhhhhhh........the OP didn't specify either type! well then I'm using the Dewalt 734 for the last couple of years. Bought it recond from CPO, Came looking brand new and was never used. Great planer. The 735 is a really solid machine. I will vouch for the three blade Ridgid though. I've got friends that have it and love it and the LSA is still applicable for that machine if you register it. Ridgid actually makes some decent bench top tools so don't be afraid to make those purchases. I've seen shops with all Ridgid bench top tools and they are well service shops to have the, in there. Still, I'm running a Dewalt 734 bench top planer and compact 10" table saw. Very happy with both purchases.
  19. Welcome to the forum Mike
  20. Welcome to the forum Austin, I remember going to tech school when I was your age for architectural and mechanical drafting. I did two years and learned quite a bit that I have still retained. Goo luck to you!
  21. Welcome to the forum 99_XC600
  22. Wayne!!!!!! How the heck are ya dude!!!!!
  23. Yup, Dewalt of the two you planers picked but I'd go with the new Bosch over any of the other ones. Unless you've got 7 and a 1/4 for the real Mack Daddy Festool HL850 which is by far the best power planer on the planet. But.....7 bones is a lot of cash! Makita has a newer corded planer which is supposedly a great machine but that new Bosch with dual ejection and safety trigger is the one I'm planning on getting.
