  1. I've got the gray and the black hoodie. My wife stained my black one. She wears them all the time. Now....NOW....she wants one after staining the black one.
  2. That is literally the coolest dog house. EVER.
  3. I yearn for the day I have a garage. It will be an oversized two story two bay garage. But mostly a man cave full of tools and dreams, and the tears of unrealized plans.....oh yeah....and beer
  4. First off welcome to the forum Turner! Are the Marples made in the UK still or are they outsourced to China now?

    I'm back.

Yeah kinda like Harold too. I miss seeing Chase on the forum, I haven't seen any new videos either. Hopefully the guys will come back though, it's nice having the energy and different opinions and enthusiasm too. We've been pretty lucky though with some of the newer members popping up here and there.

    First Ryobi tools...

Well the Airstrike nailers are Ryobis branding of their air guns. They have a brad, stapler and two finishing nailers out thus far and my brad is really a nice gun. I am going to be getting the angled finish nailer next though. Stapler at some point too.As far as your opinion on tools, they're your opinion. I don't get too hopped up about people making fun of my tool lines. Everybody has an opinion dude. And this IS a power tool forum so guys (and gals) take their stuff pretty seriously. Pro or DiYer, hobbiyist and beginners spend a lot of cash on this stuff to improve their home life or work life. That what's so great about this place, everybody has an opinion! One of my posts shows my shop under renovation. I got some heat because next to my $450 Festool drill is a Black and Decker AutoSense 20v drill. I use that thing all the time. You'd be harder pressed to find a simpler drill for using the Kreg and not overdriving screws.

    First Ryobi tools...

I really can't comment on that but my Airstrike brad nailer is pretty sweet.mid add I've had that nail gun longer than a couple of my M tools that I've had to send back under warranty. A good friend of mine is a pro contractor and all he uses for cordless tools are Ryobis and he swears by them as does my Dad who uses them professionally. Truthfully they might not be premium and have the power of some other lines but they are a respectable brand. I am not a huge fan of the whole line but I do love my nail gun and will ad the finish nail gun soon.
  16. Comp, that is darn cool dude! Sweet rack. Never thought I'd say that to a guy but dang dude, nice rack!!!!

    XCU02Z X2 Chainsaw.

Yup, super torque Nicholas. I was actually quite surprised. Makita has a winner in my opinion with this guy!

    XCU02Z X2 Chainsaw.

Not intentional....chainsaws make me nervous so I was wearing some heavy duty winter lined leather gloves. The gloves were so big I barely could fit my my hand in the grip without touching the chain brake bar. Naturally if I readjusted my hands to far forward they hit the brake. Not so irritating as I like having the machine stop so quickly but it was not intentional.

    XCU02Z X2 Chainsaw.

So my overall impression of this machine is pure fascination. It's amazing to think that a battery powered saw is capable of cutting through the stump I had. To paint a picture, the wood stump was a 60 year old burning bush that I loved but became infested with a boring beetle. This chain saw, powered by two 4.0 batteries cut through a ten inch solid wet wood stump with ease. I then put it to work against a forty foot long 8" diameter maple branch that partially came down during a storm while I was in Florida. It was mostly in my elderly neighbors yard but still hanging from the tree. No recharge on the batteries needed. The kick back bar works like a charm and when you watch the video you will see it in action. Thanks!
