  1. I checked HD and they aren't on line yet so it must be a store to store thing Hopefully they do the right thing and make a full modular system.
  2. I wouldn't re do the chair Chewie. Build it a brother and make that one a recliner. Awesome job too. The chair looks great. How'd you do the seat pads? Did you buy them as is or build and upholster them yourself?
  3. I have t seen that message and if they don't like us screw them!!!!!!! Are you getting a message on your browser? I use iPad and iPhone exclusively and haven't seen this thus far.
  4. Hey yeah! Happy Birthday John! Your just a kid dude! I remember 29.....like it was yesterday....I was young, on the job....no back pain.....girls used to check me out.....now? My chiropractor told me last week when I complained of back paint from being on the cellar floor working on my bench too long...."Well Chris....whatdya think? Your getting older!"
  5. Welcome to the site ffurhcaz. Awesome post! I can't believe they sent them out already.
  6. Miley, I'm sorry to hear that sir. I couldn't agree more about the quality of that CXS. I love that machine. I use it all the time. I also have a U.S. Built DCD985 from Dewalt. She ain't pretty, she's big and heavy but like our U.S. Girls, she has a great grip and one heck of a bite! Great powerful machine that hammer! John and Chad, thanks guys! I appreciate you watching!
  7. One more thing Chewie, what kingdom of joinery did you use? Are those pocket screws or did you use mortises or biscuits?
  8. Chewie.....awesome job dude! Beginner schmiginner! That's a gorgeous chair dude! Morris chairs are my favorite and I have reclining one that I didn't build so that's a great feat sir! As far as routers, yes Festool is awesome. I've got the 1010 and the 1400. But I've also got the Bosch EVS1617 and love that machine. Porter Cable still makes great routers too. A lot of guys here have Ryobi and Craftsman models too. Get a machine that has the power you need and invest in good carbide cutters. I've got a bunch of Bosch and Freud cutters that are great but I also have a carbide Ryobi set that is not too bad. Keep up the great finish and furniture work dude! Keep posting pics too!
  9. Thanks so much guys! Yeah that bench is super solid. In the Festool video I didn't hit the locking castors so I hit them. The bench doesn't move and inch. The entire top is hinged and its enclosed for storage. I finished my Kreg mount tonight and hung it so I'll post some more soon. Thanks again!
  10. Thanks John! Yeah all gripes aside, I love this saw. It's really well built, no vibration and cuts really straight without any noticeable deflection on the soft woods I was using. Very comfortable too.
  11. Thanks guys! Andrew, believe it or not that is one well balanced saw! Here's part two with the Carvex. I am going to do a full review of both saws, one at a time
  12. Hello fellow tool nuts. Put together a quick video of my new Makita jigsaw..... Let me know what you think, Chris
  13. Welcome aboard Chewie! This is a great place with a lot of great members. Look forward to seeing more posts from you and the rack is awesome!
  14. Sorry for the late post Andrew! This is the Lie Nielsen https://www.lie-nielsen.com/product/adjustable-mouth-block-planes-
  15. You kiddie' me BK?? Ain't you seen my calves
  16. Dan, I bought my T18 last week - $415, Festool Installers Kit - $300, Some Woodpeckers tools and misc. stuffy about $400. All because TiA introduced me to them!
  17. Holy smokes! AINA and NOT NAINA ?? Alright!
  18. Ahhhhhh.....yeah baby.....that's it.....capris and an apron....and a smile
  19. Now THAT Raboo IS a great saw! I bought the 745 and am thinking I might actually get that guy. Big enough and tons of power in my tiny shop.
  20. Hey DR, is that the one that's available in Europe?
  21. Welcome to the forum Jonathan-m. Oh, I couldn't agree with you more about that the tool storage. I've got four different modular systems, two Dewalts, a bunch of l boxxes and many systainers. My favorites are my t locs. Not as durable as the Dewalt tough system but it is infinitely useful to have these in my shop. They're the best. That could go with Sortimo too. They are great boxes and have a decent foot print...
  22. Which makes sense as Mafell makes the Bosch rails for their track saw. Cross breeding ain't new though, Mafell made the Festool OF2000 router when it was in service for Festool. It was discontinued but it is still a much sought after router.mand a lot cheaper than buying a Mafell router.
  23. It's the face on the clamps which are so awesome. The jaw is one big honking rubber clamp so it makes consistent contact with the work piece. Totally worth the cash my man!
  24. Thanks Mike! I'm going to put that thing to use as soon as it comes in too. My Wife and I are going to be building a decorative retaining wall out front framed by some new gardens and this guy will make some quick work of over sized pavers!
  25. Awesome stuff AmSup and welcome to forum too!
