  1. That's cool you're using it kdv. I haven't bought one, I'm pretty well immersed in a couple of modular systems in my shop but I've played around with both boxes at HD. My only gripe is modular. For me, I have a small shop and keeping everything stacked is a big deal. I've got a couple of boxes that aren't part of my modular set up and I knock them over, shove them under tables etc to keep them out of the way. I think North Americans want what they have introduced over in Europe.....here!
  2. Nice job Ben! Plus cutting into counters can be a little bit nerve wracking! Came out great!
  3. pmiller I've got the Tradesman Pro back pack in camp.... http://products.kleintools.com/Tool%20Bags/Tradesman%20Pro%20Organizers/55421BP14CAMO.html Awesome bag. Reinforced alectronics pouch. Really nice bag.
  4. Hey AWESOME follow up crofty! Any chance you can get those blades for your saw in England or are you thinking about jumping ship to another line?
  5. Welcome aboard Oly. Have fun with the forum the guys are awesome!
  6. I'll tell you guys, if you haven't tried the Festool line, these are HUGE helpers. The offset driver is great for getting into narrow openings like a drawer and the right angle allows you for instance to screw down a counter top. Huge benefits. I'm really glad Bosch is introducing this.
  7. This is what I've been waiting to see Madman. This is a direct assault on Festool! My T18 will be jealous!
  8. Hello azrael!!!! Welcome to the forum sir!

    FINALLY!!

It might be a Eruo thing? Seems they get all the fun tools first! But that's okay with me cause we end up getting the stuff without kinks!
  10. Yeah and so long as it's modular. They have posted pics of a modular system in Europe, supposedly a third party manufacturer (like Systainer - Tanos and l boxx - Sortimo).
  11. I've got the Milwaukee version, my Wife bought me it for a stocking stuffer. Great tool, I wired my whole shop with it and I don't have an Afro so I think it worked! I'm sure the Klein will keep your hair straight sir!
  12. Yup I concur Mike! Great find Ben! That's a great gun from what I've seen and I believe Mike has one?
  13. It's about time. Seriously! Get on the bandwagon Milwaukee! I wonder if it'll be similar to the Dewalt Toughsystem?

Like you Mike, I really like my 20v saw. I'm really thinking long and hard on the Makita now! But man, I was repairing the floor during our remodel and I was plunging that saw into some really old hardwood floors and it did just great.

I'm with you Sparky. I'm investing in brushless tools and thus far my two Dewalts are my last brushed motors besides my CXS. BUT....my Dewalt DCD985 was made here and I won't be getting rid of that powerhouse. My circular saw well that another matter.
  16. TIA is the forum your posting on dude!
  17. For now I've got two Bosch 12v tools.....the FL12 light (Awesome....comparable to my Syslite) and the new vac which is decent, cleans up around my Kapex and MFT but it's not a powerhouse. I like my Bosch 12v just fine but the three tools I have from the M12 line do me just fine!
  18. Well I'm not complaining Dwain! I used it a couple of weeks ago to tear into 65 year old knotty board walls and hardwood floors and the thing was a champ and the blade change is slick as snot. It's a pretty large tool but the dreams of Vecturo have been dashed. The Bosch is doing me just fine!
  19. I was following a (I guess) salesman in a Hilti van last week. Thing was decked out pretty sweet as far as markings and what not. Unfortunately he went west and I went east so I don't know where he was heading as none of the local hardware stores carry anything other than .22 nailers. All I could think was...."wonder if that guy likes his job?" Guess I know the answer now!
  20. I hate to admit this on account that I have the Bosch and it rocks....but I read an article on (I think) This is Carpentry and they rated the Makita as the best multi tool.
  21. There's a bunch of sellers on eBay that sell kits but I've not tried. I sent one out for a rebuild to a local company in Maine and they kept the battery. Never got it back. Can't remember the name of the company but it was in Harrison Maine near lake Sebago. I will never send them anything again. I buy new ones.
  22. Hmmmm. So they are recording what you do with it? Where it is etc? Not a fan.
  23. That's Bull. Seriously, NER and you are completely right. You don't buy ANY tool for work or whatever you do to lightly use it and be carefully to cool it off. Don't get me wrong, I don't blow $600 on a Festool and beat the crap out of it but if spend my cash on a tool it better do the job it was made for. That'd be like me at my job saying...."well boss, I know the State is paying me to work....but not too hard" no. You pay for a tool or service and expect it to work. Period.
  24. This has been reported sporadically and I don't watch my count but I have seen overall postings change from the time of day after people have already logged out.
  25. Hmmm I could get the rolling chest in black with my yellow top. That'd be cool.
