Yeah the grip is super on the gun (and the hackzall for that matter). Add in a 4.0 and your running all day. It is not an 18v but it'll do a lot and it lasts forever. I love mine!

Cool, did you get the unit replaced? I did the same thing with a Makita BHP454 years ago but she didn't make it through surgery. The chuck was the least of the problems for that drill.
