I'm pretty sure e Replacements has me on a hit list. And I'm 25% Italian so I know those thugs roll!
  3. Thanks sir! I'd really love to hear how those filters do. I wasn't sure if the one I bought came with the filters so I bought the two just to be sure.
  4. Welcome to the forum FB82. I did a pretty extensive research into this very matter. I have the Kapex from Festool but my short list (assuming you want a double bevel sliding miter saw) boiled down to the following saws: Festool KAPEX Dewalt DWS780 Dewalt DW717 Bosch Axial Glide Makita LS1016L Makita LS1216L Milwaukee 6955-20 Hitachi C12RSH The KAPEX is by far the most expensive machine in this list and I am biased but it is the best machine out there. What you need to do is figure out what you are doing with the saw and what size blade you need. 10" blades are fantastic as you can run your table saw with the same size blades. My top priorities were Dust Control and Accuracy and space. In my opinion KAPEX takes it but for $1400 it should. The Dewalt DWS780 and Milwaukee seemed to be the two machines that I felt most comfortable taking the plunge on with the Bosch in fourth place. The Hitachi actually is a great saw and the sliding mechanism is great, very similar to the KAPEX and Milwaukee in that there is no rear slide so you can put the machine against the wall. DR99 is dead on, the Bosch Axial Glide can also do this. For me space was an issue and the Dewalt unfortunately does not sit flat against the wall but I am pretty confident that was the machine I was going to get (but I ended up scoring big on the KAPEX). Reading JLC reviews and talking to the pro members here, I felt that was the saw I would get the most use out of and biggest bang for my buck. Expensive but worth it. The Milwaukee was right up there too, just more expensive. You have to ask yourself though, what are you going to do with the machine. Many of the guys here are manufacturer biased while quite a few don't care so you are likely to get a lot of direction one way or the other but to ask a question like this requires a little homework for you too, to get a really solid answer. In my opinion, the above mentioned machines are top of the line saws with great features and capabilities. I'm sure other may disagree but as you can see from my rainbow colored listing, I really don't care about makes (outside of my KAPEX....duhhhh . )
  5. So true John, he's got a heck of a set up and those hooks would be awesome for hose and cord placement. That is going to be a sweet set up when Comp has it done.
  6. Yeah will do Mike, obviously I don't own one yet so seeing how to attach a vent tube will probably be the hardest part but I've got the dryer vent already set up so...should be.....SHOULD be pretty straightforward
  7. Coupled with a Hepa Midi this is a perfect fit. Plus high density filters will help even more. I will be looking into a direct vent to the outside through my dryer vent that I left in place just for this task when I moved the dryer over to the other side of my basement. This is actually a great fit for my shop.
  8. You got it Madman. That is one heck of a deal and I really am thankful you posted it. Dust scares me pretty bad especially in my woodshop.
  9. Thanks Madman....ORDERED!!! Your the best, man this is going to be a big deal for me. Thanks for posting and thanks for remembering Chad! $151.84 with two filters.

The guys over there would have a fit if they saw my Ryobi Airstrike mailers in a Systainer! Ohhhhhhh and a Milwaukee assortment in there too? Gasp

Good to know with the drawer unit. I've read some complaints about it but I've been really wanting to purchase one around Father's Day with the Dewalt discount. I've got one t Stak drawer unit that I am using as a catch all for fasteners but my main stay are my l boxx 1a units.
  13. Don't laugh, my wife GLADLY took one of my prized l BOXXES with inserts for her stamping up stuff!!!!! Now I've got a Bosch l boxx going to stamping up meetings. I'm going to get my butt kicked if anybody sees this.
  14. Welcome to the forum Hugh Jass. Sorry but I have not tried that guy out, pretty much all of my tools are plugged into my Festool Midi which essentially does the same thing. No issues

I see greeeeeeeeeen Welcome to the forum Andrew!
  16. Any buy is a good buy dude! Plus clamps NEVER get old!
  17. Wow, awesome score Comp! I'm seeing my Midi hoses and power cables all over that guy!
  18. Hey John, what is the link to the Canadian seller? I went on the page but forgot it!
  19. Well dude, your on a slippery slope. I'll tell you that the M12 Fuel drill is a really powerful drill. And my M12 Fuel impact (thanks Eric and Dan and Milwaukee) kicks some serious hiney.. But regardless if you buy Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita or Bosch, you are opening yourself into a realm of possibilities for DiY and anything else. I don't make a,living with my tools but I can do mostly anything I need to do.those brands are all great. I've recently been working with my new Bosch' and they are wonderful to work with. My Dewalt 20vs are powerful and my M12 Fuels are compact monsters.
  20. Will I switch to Makita....well after looking at the porn shoot that NER did of his new brushless circular saw and jig......????
  21. Yeah, that Bosch looks really awesome. Watching it in use was really cool.
  22. Well the way I look at it is this, the M18 Fuel hammer is too big for the use it's going to get out of me in most cases. The old M18 compact drill is the most comfortable drills I've ever used but mine was a piece of crap. The speed selector got stuck repeatedly and the chuck would jam. I got rid of it and that's when I went to Makita. Then the Fuel line came out and I had to have it so switched back. The hammer is super powerful but it's also super big (with full size batteries). If I had to guess, I bought my M18 compact when it first came out and they have fixed all the problems with those drills. Check the reviews, they are solid machines. Additionally Milwaukee is really up front with brushless technology. They are going to put that into a Premium brushless hammer drill and impact with 4.0 batteries for $299. Those batteries will work with every tool in the m18 line. That's a really good deal. Am I going to dump my DCD985? Not anytime soon. It just bored out a crap load of holes and screwed in a crap load of tap cons for me without any problem. But for $299 you get a brushless hammer drill, a brushless impact driver, 2 4.0 batteries, charger and bag. I paid the same price for my non brushless but American made kit (I got a free 20v circular saw though!!). That is a good deal from a great manufacturer with a phenomenal warranty.
  23. Gen 5 is coming. And I saw the two pack 4.0 11v battery pack for $39!
  24. Some slime bag spilled beer on my friend Casey. She dip was cocked and she started laughing at her after she spilt her beer. If that happened to me that had to remove the beer that i direct deposited down her gullet with a sump pump.
  25. Yeah DR, as I recall one of the members bought one a while back and posted a picture. It was a while ago though. Sorry Mikey, I haven't got it either.
