  1. Heck, even after dissing it, I'd probably still buy one if i got a good enough deal...
  2. That's the excuse I'm going to use for a Fein Multimaster!
  3. I was awfully close to buying a Milwaukee 1/4 sheet sander at HD this evening.... But WTF do I need a 1/4 sheet sander for? I still haven't used my Bosch ROS yet?

    Grill

Now we're talkin'... love me some fine bourbon...
  5. Seems like when I am at the GF's house I hole up in a quiet room and get my fix of outrageous budgets on repairs...

    Grill

Heck, the best time to grill is when there's snow on the ground. Oh wait, is it the best time to drink beer is when snow's on the ground?
  7. Well, I guess that's what shelves are for. Big tools in blow molded cases.
  8. Man, I have been blessed! The only work injury (outside of cuts and stuff) I've had was breaking a couple of ribs when working on a powerline gig in SoCal. I almost had a helicopter come to fly me out, but I managed to pull myself together enough to make the mile-and-a-half hike out... luckily mostly downhill. Anyway, my work boots are Danner Pronghorn hunting boots. As a land surveyor, I do a lot of walking and am on my feet a good portion of the day, on some fairly rough ground. When on the powerline job, I'd get 6-8 months out of a pair, but now they last me at least two years. I broke through a lot of chemise chaparral (nasty thick brush) and walking/hiking on a lot of rough granite and I just shredded boots
  9. I'm just the opposite... I would like a bunch of smaller drawers, at least in the bottom box. I have a lot more hand tools than I do power tools, and more shorter drawers make organization easier. I just hope these are close to the quality of the bigger HF boxes. Wow, Harbor Freight as a benchmark for quality. Who'da thunkit.
  10. I'd like to see some more choices in the brushless drill area.... Maybe a Fuel compact and a heavy duty model (M18).

    Grill

Cool, but I would not hesitate a bit to use that thing. Pretty far on my list of thing to stress over is the 'collector's value' of special gas grills....
  12. Yeah, curious about this one as well. I imagine it would fulfill my immediate needs (replacing trim around the house) and be a whole lot cheaper than the 12" Bosch glide saw that I really want...
  13. Crap, why does stuff have to come out all at once? The Makita impact driver I've ogling is supposed to come out about he same time! Argh!
  14. Sent that to my shoe-addicted girlfriend, she texted back, "OMG, that's us! When are you going to get a second job so you can buy me more shoes?" Okay, I made the last part up. I'd buy more tools.

    It's Always Nice

Chris, you gotta share some ideas as to what and how you load up your bag. I'm kinda vapor-locked as to what I should throw in there...
  16. As long as he doesn't wear the capris, LOL. All is not lost. NAPA frequently has sales where anything you fit in the bucket (mine's a green clone of a Homer bucket) is some percent off. Lowes also has the buckets in blue, I think.

  18. I have some Bondhus in the sizes I use for my survey gear, pretty good stuff. I think I may have some in my portable box... I can't remember and am too lazy to go look. They would be the old black ones, though. I was going to say PB Swiss, but they might be a bit more than you probably want to spend...

  21. So, Carroll is TIA's Barry Bonds? You might need some HGH rather than a diet...
