  1. Just from what little watching I have done, $369 is a normal coupon price, $359 is a pretty good deal, and $349 is like a twice-a-year occurrence.
  2. I'm sure I will, eventually. I just bought an ROS, and I need to get an oscillating multi tool first. Maybe an M12, maybe a Fein, though I'm kinda stalling on both, hoping a Fuel M12 comes out first, or Fein intros the 350 watt (vs 250 currently) in their Multimaster.
  3. Damn, I wishi had uncles like that!
  4. I've been drooling over a DeWalt 1/4 sheet sander every time I go into HD or Lowes...
  5. To quote Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon!"
  6. I'd like to play around with one of the Joker combos one of these days....
  7. Man, I'm way too anal-retentave for that.... It's a mulcher, it'd be too hard to get the lines perfectly straight... Put a bag and GPS machine controls on it and I might reconsider... LOL
  8. I apparently don't remember my username and/or password for YouTube....
  9. I don't necessarily have a problem with carbs, I have a problem with THAT piece of junk that came on the later 4.2liters...
  10. Sorry, Randall, I kinda took this thread off subject...
  11. Leaving the D300 as is, want to swap a heavier duty transmission, five or six speed with a granny first gear. Maybe NV4500, maybe something else. Still early in the planning stage. At least my '7 give me a little more driveline length than my CJ5 did!
  12. Really, more concerned with transmission compatibility. I'm thinking the 5.3 might win out in the end.
  13. I try to check out microbreweries when I travel. Came across a cople of pretty good ones when working in San Diego, and a good one in Couer d' Alene. A few pretty good ones here in Portlandia...
  14. They can be, but, really, I don't need a ton of power in a CJ. 225ish HP, clean running fuel injection, better mileage, and a loss of some weight are reason enough for me. Ang getting rid of a crappy carb and a leaky valve cover gasket...
  15. I never had a problem with his other videos, so I am happy he got another gig. His stuff seemed pretty well polished, if you go for that sort of thing, rather than the "Dan just rolled out of bed at the crack of noon" or "Eric's pounding beers" style of my fav tool blog/channel...
  16. The old Windsor based 4.9/302. I imagine the Coyote version would be mega bucks to get sorted out. There is (or was) a company in San Jose (Z&M Products) that offers a drop in cradle mount for CJs/YJs and maybe TJs.
  17. Whoa, is this one of my other personalities?
  18. Motor swaps.... One of these days, my CJ7 is gonna get one. I'd dearly love to drop a Mustang 5 litre in it, but I'd also like to swap in a little heavier duty five or six speed manual trans at the same time... The OE T5 is not the most durable, plus the first gear ratio ain't the greatest for crawling. A 5.3l LS motor is a possibility, but I'm a pretty fervent FoMoCo fan. Of course, if I swap the engine, then I gotta replace the AMC M20 rear end, and the Dana 30 front, add an aftermarket frame... Just Empty Every Pocket
  19. Hmmm, might have to give this one a shot, if I can find it on the left coast...
  20. Man, I hate to limit myself to only one beer... Pacifico Widmer Hefeweizen Full Sail Amber There's a microbrewery outside of San Diego called Alpine Beer Company... everything of theirs that I tried was spectacular, but I really liked the Mandarin Nectar My Eastern Oregon road trip beer is Coors Original in a bottle.... seems like you can get it in just about any old cowboy bar you run across. Don't even get me started on bourbon and Irish whiskeys....
  21. Since I already have a pretty full compliment of M12 stuff, I would pick up the 2797-22 kit... M18 Fuel HDD and impact driver
  22. Well, I guess I should have been more clear. It's just a hand box that stays in my truck, under the locking tonneau (sp?) cover, not one of the big aluminum boxes that's permanently affixed. If I had one of those in my pickup, I wouldn't have much bed left in my '01 F150 Supercrew's puny 5.5' bed!
  23. No pics, but it was nice out today, and I decided to run a quick inventory of what I have in my truck box and in storage bins that have been rattling around the (covered) bed of my truck. Ace has been running specials on Vise-grips off and on a bit lately, and I've been picking up a few lately. I prefer not to buy Chinese tools, but apparently $5 locking pliers overcome my COO concerns. I ended up switching some of my US locking pliers out for PRC made units in the box, and pulling out a bunch of extra 3/8" ratchets... Snap On 36 tooth standard and long, and a breaker bar, SK standard, Armstrong standard and long flex. Left an Armstrong 1/4", an SK 3/8" stubby, a Gearwrench XP120 standard, a long flex Kobalt, an Armstrong long, and a CM RP 1/2" standard. I also pulled out about three feet of extensions.
  24. Oh please let there be an M12 Fuel multitool....
  25. Dang, I gotta remember TWO rules?
