  1. Yes sir! Thanks to our military and CG for their service. And thanks to that ChrisK guy for keeping his little corner of the country safe...
  2. The Fam actually did get into Michigan yesterday. Probably not very far into Michigan, I'll bet....
  3. Yep, but we are going to be driving by one of the original two stores, so we'll probably stop in....
  4. That BMI 472 twoCOMP looks interesting, but doesn't look like it comes in tenths and inches. I never did find any with tenths, outside of a Stabila. All my work tapes are Lufkins (and there's a pile of 'em!) of 12' or 25'. Just curious why you would want a 33'er? That's a big tape to try and get in and out of your vest 50 times a day.... I just replaced a tape I had put a crimp in (one of the old style without the rubber bumpers) with the new style that was tenths only. Kind of a bummer trying to measure the diameter of a tree and do the math converting tenths to inches in my head....
  5. As long as that sort of behavior is in the past.... LOL
  6. The company is in Clarkston, WA.... Right in the area I want to retire.... No comment about the table, sorry.
  7. I'm trying to wrap my head around what you said. Are you saying the profile of the beams change as they get smaller?
  8. If I want to go to fantasy land, I'll be in a place where i have all the workshop space I need, and all the money for tools and projects I could want. And a Snap On driver.
  9. No, I read the whole thing, I was just addressing this part. That's the problem with ADD and OCD. I get fixated on something but have the attention span of a gnat.
  10. Flying in at 0 dark thirty and heading straight to The Golden Dome. Probably catch a five hour nap, a quick tour of the campus, then heading West at the butt crack of dawn the next day.
  11. That's one thing I don't do much. Now car keys and cell phones, I swear those suckers can RUN!

    So it begins...

Old Testement justice, man. You only have to cut the right hand off of a few dozen before word gets around....
  13. My bro-in-law went to work at the Catholic College Mothership (aka Notre Dame) and had to start right away, so my sister stayed behind to sell the house and pack up all their crap. Well, to supervise my dad and I packing all their crap, LOL. So last week, my parents and sister started making the drive to South Bend. They get about four days into the (very touristy) trip back when my sister calls me and asks if I can fly out and drive my parents back. It seems like my nearly 80 year old father is having problems staying awake for more than about 30 minutes in the car. A bit problematic when you are driving half way across the country. And my (also nearly 80) mother cant do all the driving. Soooo, long boring backstory behind us, what noteworthy, toolwise, things do I need to see? I have plans to hit a Menards before I leave ND, and I plan on hitting a Northern Tool somewhere in Nebraska. We'll be taking I80 to I70, and staying a night or two in Colorado Springs at my aunt and uncles's place. Maybe a night in Elko, NV, to see a cousin. Thanks, fellas!
  14. I just shuddered.... One tool when you could have four?
  15. I didn't see the OP, but as a guy who frequently works on or near roads, I really hate people who text or talk while driving. And how fricking dumb do you have to be to drive like a jack wagon with your boss's phone number on the side of the truck?
  16. Seems like there's a lot of wasted space with your smaller sockets....
  17. I know how i am... I can totally see me getting all the various models in the line, either before or after I finish the Wright contour grip line...
  18. $45ish, I think. I was at a store in Vancouver and I forgot about your state's stupid sales tax. Grrr. Sweet ratchet, though....
  19. Jimbo, I'm totally blaming you for this one... Proto J4757F
  20. Cool man! A couple of the NAPAs around here have the beige version, and the non-commemorative blue model, and I frequently run my grubby paws all over them. One of these days... I'm still kicking myself for not buying one of the carts with the full length drawers (like a Snappy KRSC46) when they disco'd them a couple of years ago...
  21. That's not really it's intended purpose... it's a cart, so it's designed to be used hauling your most used tools back and forth from what you're working on to your big box, so you're not trying to push around 3000+ pounds all day.
  22. They wouldn't be all that hot for me, but then the only time I use my impact tools away from home is when I need to make use of my parent's flatter driveway, so I can just grab the one (usually 13/16" deep) socket I need. I usually grab the whole Sunex case, but I COULD just grab the one socket.

    Toolbox

They're nearly impossible to find, but I want a Snap On KRL777 badly... the only ones I've seen lately were teal (yuk!) or Harley Davidson anniversary editions (I like HDs, but I don't want their logo all over my stuff). Somebody please find me a Midnight Blue '777 in mint condition close by that I can afford. Oh, and since I want the impossible, how about if the GF and Sofia Vergara were cool with showing me a little G-G action.
