  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqsM_6UQq68 Nice history of power tools, insane to think that black & decker were once known for their quality. Same with craftsman.
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Li-Ion-2-Tool-Combo-Kit-with-Case-2691-22-RECON-/331521287526 From CPOoutlet, refurbished kit with 2 batteries + charger. Not the latest fuel or brushless model, but for the price, why not? Can easily flip the bare tool and keep the batteries + charger.
  3. Also second Tekton. After reading about them here, I went ahead and bought a set off amazon. Great quality and big laser etch for easy visibility. Much better than my HF stuff.
  4. Original Thread by Moze. Direct link to video: Just my opinion, but I don't think the m12 vacuum will sell well. Might have to wait for an upgraded version 2 (maybe Fuel?) for better suction power.
  5. Bought the m12 lantern and i love how soft the light is. Totally worth it on its own. After seeing the vacuum tool fight, I can't justify paying full price for that (knowing the other team has better vacuum for the same price). If they included it as a free tool, I'd take it. I am hoping for a deal on the m12 fuel circular saw.
  6. I believe this is the link: http://www.toolbarn.com/specials/valentines-day.html M12 Fuel tool. Promo states: Choose from a Hackzall™ reciprocating saw, impact driver, cordless multi-tool, hammer drill/driver, right angle driver, 1/4" cordless ratchet, 3/8" cordless ratchet and LED stick light, while supplies last. Just add "1" to the "quantity" field of the free tool you want and then click the "add to cart" button to proceed.
  7. Great review Moze. Im underwhelmed by the Milwaukee performance. Suction could have been improved. If it goes on sale, I might consider it. That dewalt though, impressive.
  8. Looking forward to that tool fight Moze. Are the other brand (Dewalt and Bosch) running 4.0 batteries? Could you test the run time of the M12 on a regular 1.5Ah battery?
  9. My problem with seeing an M12 (fuel) miter saw is the blade size. Would you want it small and compact so the max size is a ~5-7" blade? To be honest, Im hoping for a M18 Fuel Miter Saw in the US (I believe a non-fuel is available in the UK?). Hopefully smaller than the picture:
  10. Congrats on that new addition to the Milwaulkee family. Jealous of that hat!
  11. That sucks, I guessed I missed out on the deal. Currently showing 149.99 Kuddos to anyone who got it for $99
  12. I went ahead and bought some stuff from this promo. (Spent over $200 to get that free shipping). I originally ordered from HD for a similar promo, but I just noticed that this deal (tool barn) is giving you 4.0 XC & 2.0 vs HD's 3.0 XC &1.5 battery . Same pricing, just a better battery for those of you on the fence about this deal. Edit: I was wrong, HD has different free batteries for different items/combos.
  13. Javier, I didn't pay attention to the tool numbers. The description said it came with the battery and charger, so I am happy. I purchased it and ill report back when it arrives. EDIT: Condition: New Packaging: RetailWarranty: 5 YearsBrand: MilwaukeeModel: 2445-21 <-- i think this means 1 battery + charger EDIT2:Arrived with battery + charger + case + blade. Everything was new and sealed!

  15. Didn't see this posted yet: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Job-Site-Radio-with-Free-1-4-in-Cordless-Hex-Screwdriver-Kit-2590-20P/205034133?N=5yc1vZc2ec M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Job-Site Radio with Free 1/4 in. 16. Was trying to figure out how you got the m12 for so cheap, found it: http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/1966-m12-impact-driver/ Too bad I didnt know about this. Great review Javier. Still kinda odd that Milwaukee didnt add have basic features (magnetic bit holder, inserting bit w/out pulling the chuck). Edit: newer m12 brushless allows you to insert a bit w/out touching the chuck
  17. Would it be a legal issue? I see items on Kickstarter for unofficial items for phones/electronics (ie; custom iPhone chargers/usb cords). Similar with 3rd party film/camera equipment. Javier, Snap-on makes this: http://store.snapon.com/Snap-on-174-Battery-Chargers-Adaptor-Battery-Slide-on-P644498.aspx which is something I wished dewalt made. Retail for that is $26 USD. If I knew more about 3D printing and CAD design, i'd tackle this myself! For now, ill just have to find some dead batteries for cheap so I can hack/DIY the casing (similar to what a lot of people on youtube did). -------- Just noticed this on amazon for $20: http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCB090-12V-Power-Source/dp/B00EYSUK7W Could be a great starting point it anyone wants to make an adapter for the new dewalt 20v system. ---------- http://i.imgur.com/pjRz9ZT.jpg Converts Makita cordless tools to corded versions Also on amazon is this product by greenlee: http://www.amazon.com/Greenlee-EAC18120-120-Volt-Adapter-Cordless/dp/B004I0Q5PC Definitely overpriced, but at least the idea is possible.
  18. So awhile back, I was talking to my brother-in-law and he has some cordless tools that needs new batteries. Somehow 3d printing came up and the idea of creating adapter plates for use of other brand batteries in the tools. Spent sometime today and googled this myself. It turns out someone has had the same idea and made one already: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-3d-Printed-Cordless-Drill-Battery-Ad/ Since ideas are cheap, could someone who is a business man and entrepreneur with a 3D printer put together a kickstarter project where they make adapter plates? It would also be cool if you could incorporate this into the plates: http://www.milwaukeetool.com/accessories/batteries-and-chargers/49-24-2371 Basically a USB and power out plug! Maybe even create an adapter plate so you can turn cordless tools into corded tools? The ideas are endless! [btw, this idea isn't original. In the video/film industry, they create adapter plates for different types of camera batteries. You can buy different adapter plates for different style battery mounts: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Mounting-Plates/ci/3720/N/4028759422]
  19. The fact that there are so many standards reminds me of this: http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/standards.png
